Ashigara (足柄?) was the final vessel of the four-member Myōkō class of heavy cruisers of the Imperial Japanese Navy, which were active in World War II. The other ships of the class were Nachi, Myōkō, and Haguro. Ashigara was named after Mount Ashigara on the border of Kanagawa and Shizuoka Prefectures.
Appearance[]
The Myoukou-class wears a purple uniform with a black tight skirt, white pantyhose and white elbow gloves.
Ashigara herself has wavy long brown hair with a white hairband as well as brown eyes.
Her second remodel gives her a new modified uniform shared with her fellow sister ships's second remodel. Her main difference is the addition of a patterned neckerchief.
Personality[]
She is well known for her obsession with victory. She is nicknamed "Hungry Wolf", nickname given during the naval review celebratring George VI's coronation where she was Japan's representative. Because of this nickname, it's not uncommon to draw her with wolf ears.
In the anime, it is revealed that she is one of the many instructors of the Destroyer classrooms.

- Sunk, Action of 8 June 1945
- Ashigara was the last major Japanese warship to be sunk in battle. While other ships were sunk later in the war, they were all at or near docks by bombing raids.
- Was known as the "Hungry Wolf," after a description by British Journalists criticizing her spartan quarters and design focused on effectiveness over liveability. The Japanese chose to take it as a compliment, instead.
- Received her Kai Ni on 26 December 2014
