Asmodeus, also known as Ozzie or Oz, is a supporting character in the adult animated web series Helluva Boss, a spin-off series to Hazbin Hotel.
He is a powerful demon monarch and the Sin/Embodiment of Lust, and also the forgiving owner of Ozzie's and Fizzarolli's boyfriend.
He is voiced by James Monroe Iglehart, who also voices Vortex in the same series, and also voiced Lance Strongbow in Tangled.

In his initial appearance, he was an antagonist alongside Fizzarolli who tormented Blitzo and Stolas, however even in this role he showed some signs of his true nature with how he clearly cared for Fizzarolli; he also ultimately opted to simply scare Moxxie and Millie out of his club rather than engage in further violence.

Asmodeus and Fizzarolli's relationship were explored much further in "Oops" and it was shown how much he truly cared, when he and Stolas teamed up to try and negotiate a deal with a lawyer sent by Moxxie's father, Crimson, to blackmail Asmodeus (having managed to kidnap Fizzarolli).
MAMMON'S MAGNIFICENT MUSICAL MID-SEASON SPECIAL (ft Fizzarolli)[]
Asmodeus finally crosses the line into a full-blown hero (albeit supporting) when he continually comforts Fizzarolli and gives him the confidence to stand up to Mammon's abuse, after being told that the reason Fizzarolli continued to put up with it was that he feared losing his status as well as losing Asmodeus, to which Asmodeus tells Fizzarolli that Mammon never did anything that Fizzarolli didn't already do beforehand and that Fizzarolli could never lose him, stating that he would always love him whether he won the contest or not.
This would inspire Fizzarolli to publicly quit and humiliate the Prince of Greed (which Asmodeus helped, albeit from behind the stage).
Mammon would try to attack Fizzarolli in a rage and Asmodeus in turn bravely stood his ground, revealing himself before the crowds and demanding Mammon stay away from his lover, Mammon underestimated Asmodeus' love for Fizzarolli and arrogantly tried to blackmail him into backing down by threatening to reveal his "little secret" to the crowds of Hell.
Asmodeus, despite knowing the cost it would have on him, angrily called Mammon out on his spite and proudly declared he did indeed love Fizzarolli and no longer cared what other Sins thought; this shocked Mammon (though most in the crowds already knew this and seemed quite excited).
Asmodeus continued to defy Mammon, who promised the Prince of Lust would regret revealing such information before disappearing, releasing a powerful explosion in one final act of malice, Asmodeus would shield Fizzarolli from the blast and the pair embraced, happy to have each other despite uncertain futures.

Asmodeus was originally an antagonistic figure who claimed to value lust over true love, however this was simply a mask (as a Sin he was expected to put on a show for Hell and thus he had to keep his true feelings hidden, though almost everyone in Hell knew he and Fizzarolli had a genuine relationship for some time).
Even as the King of Lust, he made it clear when talking to Stolas that he believed firmly in choice and thus was against those who tried to force others, believing things must always be done with consent.
Despite his great size and enormous power he is a surprisingly gentle and kind individual, though he can also be frighteningly vengeful if provoked, he is also quite honest and doesn't hold back on expressing his feelings even if they may not always be popular (such as how he openly told Fizzarolli how much he disliked Mammon, despite Fizzarolli seeing Mammon as an idol).
Asmodeus also has a very fierce protective streak and will not back down from a confrontation if needed to protect those he cares for, even being willing to stand up to Mammon and publicly declaring his relationship (the consequences of which is yet to be seen).

Asmodeus is one of the Seven Deadly Sins and is thus ranked as one of the most powerful characters in the series, he outranks even the likes of Stolas both in social power and magical potency, his domain of power is Lust, though he is clear that he disapproves of forceful Lust as he refuses to make love potions despite having the capabilities to.
Asmodeus was mocked by Crimson as the "weakest" of the Sins but this seems more likely as a comment on his personality rather than his magical power, since when he finally had enough of Mammon he was willing to fight against the Prince of Greed and for all his posturing Mammon seemed reluctant to actively fight Asmodeus, instead resorting to blackmail before fleeing.

- In some Hebrew folklore traditions, Asmodeus is the bastard son of Adam with a succubus named Naamah, although it is unknown if they remain in folklore in the Helluva universe. However, if confirmed, Asmodeus would be related to the sinners and winners, as they are Adams descendants.
- A picture of Asmodeus and Beelzebub can be seen on his refrigerator in the episode "Oops", indicating that they are close.
- Ozzie is vehemently against sex by force, which is more like Wrath than Lust; making it twice as distasteful to Ozzie as its not the sin he embodies.
- Asmodeus is confirmed to be pansexual, which is fitting because he is the embodiment of lust.[1]
- He claims he has known (and disliked) Mammon since "the start of Hell", implying he is older than Hell and that both of them are several thousand years old, at least.
- Asmodeus is shown to be blushing gold in "Oops", indicating that he might be a fallen angel, given that he is described as such in various mythological texts (along with the other deadly sins) and matches the traditional depiction of a cherub angel.
- Asmodeus' design for this incarnation from Hellaverse could also echo the design of modern French cartoon characters such as Krosmoz, in particular because blue is the associated color of the country, the colors of his clothes can refer to the country's flag (notably because of the blue, white and red) and that his facial design could echo Necross, the main antagonist of the film Mune: Guardian of the Moon.
- Although Blitzo managed to save Fizzarolli, this is not considered a form of apology, but also a reason that Asmodeus became friends with Blitzo.
