Atsuko Hakari (秤アツコ in Japanese) is one of the characters in the 2021 roleplay game Blue Archive who studies in Arius Branch School (or Arius Satellite School) and wields a Submachine Gun. She originally acted as the supporting antagonist for the third chapter of the third volume of the main story, the "Eden Treaty", she later played as the rescued in the fourth chapter and as the supporting protagonist in the final volume, "Where All Miracles Begin". She is also one of the members of the Arius Squad, an elite group of Arius students.
As part of the teachings of Arius Branch School, Atsuko, alongside other Arius Squad members, have been taught how to kill since as far back as they can remember. However, Atsuko is special as she possesses the "royal blood" according to Beatrice, the student council president of Arius at the time. Seeing the Arius Squad growing under Saori Joumae's leadership, Beatrice assigned to them an important task, which they failed, resulting in Beatrice taking Atsuko back to be used as a sacrifice whilst the others were left to perish. This was Beatrice's grave mistake, as the Arius Squad were then helped by Sensei, the main character of Blue Archive, resulting in Beatrice's defeat and Atsuko's rescue. Ever since, the Arius Squad has been living on the run.
Personality[]
Behind that mask of hers is actually a kind and caring girl, opposite of the normalcy of Arius where the students are taught to hate and kill. She only seems inapproachable due to her mask, but she actually likes to talk and learn. She also enjoys tending flowers, whereas most Arius students wouldn't even have a hobby. It was mostly due to Beatrice this side of hers was concealed, and it was thanks to Sensei Atsuko could be herself again.
