Origin[]
Aurora, born as Jeanne-Marie Beaubier in Canada, had a challenging early life. After her parents died in a car accident, she and her twin brother Jean-Paul were separated and grew up unaware of each other's existence. Raised in a hyper-religious school, she discovered her mutant powers of flight, believing them to be a divine gift due to her strict religious upbringing. This led to an incident that triggered Dissociative Identity Disorder, resulting in two distinct personalities – one repressed and prim, the other uninhibited and extroverted.
As an adult, she became a schoolteacher and later encountered Wolverine, who led her to reunite with her twin brother, Jean-Paul (Northstar), and join the superhero team Alpha Flight. Throughout her journey, Aurora experienced various challenges, including her personalities' conflicts, romantic relationships, and involvement with the Weapon X program.
