Ava is a supporting protagonist in the Netflix TV Show The Dragon Prince. She is the wolf companion of Ellis, who assists her in getting Team Zym to the Moon Nexus so they would find Lujanne and "heal" Zym's egg. She also only has three legs due to an accident that happened when she was a cub.
Biography[]
When Ava was a cub, she was caught in a bear, and was saved by Ellis who took her to a doctor, but he told her that Ava would have to be amputated, and her parents told Ellis that Ava would have to be put down due to her lack of one leg and food.
Ava then decided to bring her to a supposed healer in the Cursed Caldera, and after they got into a cave close to the Moon Nexus, Lujanne appeared and took care of her, and created an illusion in her leg to make it look like Ava never lost her leg.
Years later, Ava and Ellis would meet with Ezran and Callum, who wanted to find someone to heal the egg of the Dragon Prince, so Ellis showed them the way to go to the Cursed Caldera. During this, a giant leech tried to kill them, so Callum, Ellis and Ava had to climb on top of a giant rock, while Ezran and Rayla stayed on top of a tree.
After the leech left, they got down and remet, with the leech appearing right behind, but they worked togheter and defeat it. After getting to the Moon Nexus, Lujanne appeared with Phoe-Phoe, with team Zym asking for her to heal Azymondias' egg, but Lujanne told them that she could heal it, and that she wasn't a healer.
Understanding this, Ellis asked how she was able to save Ava, with Lujanne telling her that her leg was fake and that she never truly needed it to be happy. Callum then was able to make the egg hatch by creating a storm, with Rayla saving it before it fell of the mountain.
After Claudia and Soren appeared in the Moon Nexus and tried to kidnap Azymondias, Ezran, and Callum, Ava faked running away to make it look like she left them, while in reality was to trick them, as the Azymondias, Ezran and Callum they captured were illusions made by Lujanne. After they escaped from Claudia and Soren, Ellis said goodbye to them and told them not to forget her.
