Ava is a major character in Telltale's The Walking Dead: A New Frontier. She is a member of the New Frontier and David Garcia's right-hand.
She was voiced by Ally Johnson.
History[]
Background[]
Prior to the outbreak, Ava was in the military with her sister. At some point she got to know David Garcia and together they joined the Richmond community, the New Frontier. From then on, David co-managed the place, and Ava became his right-hand woman.
The Walking Dead: A New Frontier[]
In the game, Ava first appears in a flashback where she meets Clementine and a baby Alvin Jr. while on the run from the Walkers. As she takes refuge with them, Ava reveals that she is part of a safe community and tries to convince Clementine to join this community. Whatever Clementine chooses, she will eventually join the New Frontier.
We see her in the following episode when David introduces her to his brother Javier who has traveled to Richmond with his group. We see her again later when Javi and his group are expelled from Richmond. She approaches them and hands them a bag containing materials chosen by David. She also violently pushes Tripp away, pissed at being kicked out.
In the following episode, Ava helps Javi's group and goes to the armory with Gabe to find weapons to fight off the horde of Walkers. Afterwards, they find Javier and Clem and join the others to discuss the rest of the plan. The next day, at dawn, Joan gathers the entire population as she prepares to hang David. Then she has Tripp and Ava brought in tied up to be executed too. Sadistic, Joan offers Javi the choice between sparing Ava or Tripp. If he spares Ava, she's the one who gets shot. Conversely, if he spares Tripp, he dies, and Ava lives. In this case, she survives the chaos caused in Richmond because of the Walkers and joins the group of survivors. Javi apologizes for what he did, and Ava forgives him, holding no grudge. A short time later, she is attacked by a walker near a ravine, and she falls to her death, to the shock of David and the others.
Trivia[]
- If Ava lives in the place of Tripp who will be executed, she dies the same way as him if he is the one who is spared.
