Lady Ava Prentis is a secondary protagonist of the LEGO Nexo Knights series. She is a student at the Knights' Academy, but spends a fair amount of time assisting Nexo Knights in their fights against the monster armies threatening the kingdom of Knighton and works as their technician.
She was voiced by Maryke Hendrikse.
Biography[]
Nexo Knights[]
At the start of the series, Ava and Robin had just become students at the Knights' Academy, and on the night Jestro turned evil and released the Lava Monsters the two ended up ensnarled into the war between them and Knighton's Nexo Knights. Ava discovered the thought to be dead wizard Merlok, now going by the name "Merlok 2.0", and helped him deliver a Nexo Power to the knights, allowing them to defeat the monsters for the first time. Since then, Ava and Robin have assisted the knights countless times, providing them with inventions like the Fortrex, Techcalibur and Triangulator, and were eventually awarded the titles on junior knights by King Halbert for their contribution to combating Jestro's threat.

Ava had grown up significantly by the time Monstrox came back in form of a digital virus. She briefly entered Knighton's cyberspace to help Merlok save seven of his Merlok powers, and hid the wizard away from the necromancer. She continued to assist the Nexo Knights in fighting the villain's forces up to and during the final battle.

Contrary to her hyperactive friend Robin, Ava is self-contained and somewhat emotionless, spending most of her time in front of a monitor. While by no means a nihilist, she appears to have a mostly negative view on life, seeing it as full of "pain and misery", or at least believing others do. She is described as devoted to her job as the knights' programmer and doesn't let anything distract her, although even she couldn't tolerate Clay's exercise schedule and took a chance to take a break and play games when he finally left.
Ava often makes snarky comments at others' expense, even in times of great distress, making her seem somewhat abrasive, but she is far from soulless and cares for her friends' well-being. She seems to have a nearly father-daughter-like relationship with Merlok 2.0 despite not always getting along with him, and the risk of him dying was the only thing that could drive her to tears.

- Her full name is a pun on the word "apprentice", which reflects her role in the heroes' team.
- Ava is the only major protagonist in the series to have no relatives of hers appear or get mentioned in the series or promotional material.
- According to The Forbidden Power, Ava has the rank of a professor, but it's unknown if she actually has a PhD.
