The Aviator is one of the Mighty Numbers from Mighty No. 9. Bearing the serial number Mighty No. 6, he is the main boss of the Radio Tower stage. The Aviator wields the Gyro Boomerang as his special weapon; Beck gets this ability from the Aviator when he defeats him; the weapon is effective against the Pyrogen. The Aviator is often known by his nickname "Avi".

Personality[]

The Aviator is a fast-moving and fast-talking robot who becomes a showboater in front of the camera. He adopts the persona of a news anchor as Beck climbs the Radio Tower, reporting on his progress and giving him advance notice of weather hazards, enemies, and his attacks during their battle. He also references the "republic" he wants to create, suggesting that he values equality (or at least fair representation) of all kinds of robots. He has an informal way of speaking and often calls Beck nicknames such as "Beckels," "Tyrannosaurus Becks," "Rud-Beck-a," and "Beckropolis" after being restored to his senses.

Physical Appearance[]

The Aviator takes his design from a jet fighter. He has five fingers on his hands; each finger can shoot like a bullet. The Aviator's knees each have a cannon. His eyes are surrounded by a dark strip.

Story[]

Much like the other Mighty Numbers, barring Beck, the Aviator was possessed by a virus that caused robots to go berserk. He assumed the personality of a News Reporter. After his defeat, the Aviator decided to help Beck by scouting ahead. When the Trinity awoke from her sleep due to Graham's actions and absorbed the colosseum, the Aviator took responsibility in dropping Beck off at the colosseum to sort things out, making his getaway so she cannot get him.

Battle[]

The Aviator attacks by firing from his fingers, swooping from the background, and divebombing the player. His weakness is the Reflect Shoot.

Trivia[]

  • The Aviator may take his inspiration from Gyro Man from Mega Man 5.
