Axel Gilberto is the main protagonist of the science-fiction action anime series Lazarus, which takes place in the same universe as the 1998 anime series Cowboy Bepop, of Spike Spiegel by the same director Shinichirō Watanabe. He is a Brazilian young man specialized in parkour who was sentenced to ~800 years in prison. His skills has made him well-known among criminals.
He is voiced by Mamoru Miyano in Japanese and Jack Stansbury in English.

Axel is a young man with tan skin. He has messy black hair. He typically wears a red shirt with a black jacket over. He has black eyes.
Personality[]
Axel loves thrill. Axel has an easy-going and authentic nature. He is very confident and brave in his parkour skills.
Abilities[]
- Master Parkourer: Axel is extremely skilled at parkour. He is able to jump, climb, and move around like a monkey. Such that, his oustanding abilities allowed him to flee from the prison alongside his cunningness despite several guards preventing him.
