Ayano Tateyama is an important character from mixed media series Kagerou Project. She was the founder of the Mekakushi Dan along with being a classmate and friend of Shintaro Kisaragi.
She is voiced by Mai Nakahara.
Appearance[]
Ayano has dark brown hair that reaches around her shoulders, which has 2 red hair clips on the left fringe, and has dark brown eyes which are the same color as her hair. She wears a long red scarf and is generally shown wearing a middle school uniform which consists of a mid-length black skirt and top, a white ribbon at the collar, black socks and brown school loafers.
In the final act of Mekakucity Actors, she wears a white dress with a thin red bow, along with a red trim at the collar.
Personality[]
Ayano is a kind and selfless girl who hid her problems from others. She would make paper cranes out of Shintaro's test papers to help him feel better, though she didn't truly believe she could put him out of his apathy. She always got bad grades as she forgets things a few moments after learning them, though she can do well if she tried hard enough. She would also occasionally punish her siblings when they misbehaved, such as pranking.
She cared very much for her family and friends, wishing for them to be happy, even if that meant they couldn't be together. She risked everything and sacrificed herself to enter the Kagerou Daze and get a snake to stop the Snake of Clearing Eyes' plan to kill her family and friends, though was proved futile as it didn't need the Snake of Favoring Eyes to proceed.
Ability[]
Ayano possesses the Snake of Favoring Eyes, which allows her to project thoughts and memories onto others.
When used together with Shintaro's retaining eyes, she gains the ability to project memories from previous timelines as well.

- Ayano is a fan of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, her favorite character being Noriaki Kakyoin.
- Her definition of a friend is "Something that made me who I am".
- Her blood type is B.
- Ayano used to wear her clips in a cross shape, but worn them parallel later. She may have done this to resemble the way her mother had worn her clips.
- The Children Record Booklet states that she has black hair, however, Ayano has never been shown with black hair before.
- As said earlier, she used to fold paper cranes out of Shintaro Kisaragi's test papers. Paper cranes stand for happiness and long life, though it isn't known if Ayano had knew that.
- Her game username is Ayayyy.
