Ayumi Otosaka (born in 2003) was one of the main characters of the 2015 anime series Charlotte. She is a 12 years old middle school student.
She was voiced by Momo Asakura in Japanese and Kira Buckland in English.
Synopsis[]
Ayumi is a very sweet girl. She gets along easily with others and always do that kindly. She cares a lot for her brother, making sure to prepare breakfast for him every day. Ayumi gets excited easily, as seen when she met Yusa Nishimori for the first time. When her brother was transferred to another school, he became much busier, making Ayumi more alone and missing her brother deeply. Unfortunately, after the serie progresses, Ayumi gets stalked and her schoolmate Konishi tries to kill her because her boyfriend lost his attraction to her and became attracted to Ayumi. Ayumi politely declines the offer but Konishi still wants her dead. After Konishi chases her, Ayumi accidentally exposes her magical ability for the first time, which collapses a huge part of the school , and she fell. Nao Tomori and Yū Otosaka were nearby the school, and they runned to try to save Ayumi. Her brother Yū injures himself while trying to save her which causes him to get minor injures and sent to hospital. After Yū wakes up the doctors told him that Ayumi unfortunately died, which causes Yū to be depressed and go mentally insane until Nao Tomori prevents that. Thankfully, Yū and Shunsuke found a way to time-leap and they used Yū to do it, which brings him back 1 day before his sister’s death. Yū uses his ability to erase Ayumi’s ability so she won’t collapse again. He is aware that someone is trying to kill her sister so he goes to Ayumi’s middle school and waits in the scene, hidden. When he sees Konishi‘s attempted murder, he appears, much to Ayumi’s surprise. He and Nao Tomori scared Konishi so much that she escaped. Ayumi hugged her brother and tells him that she was so scared. When they are back to their home, Ayumi always kept her hug on her brother. After a few episodes, Yū saves the world from those dangerous abilities, and now him, Nao Tomori, Ayumi, Yusarin and shunsuke fill their lives with only fun things.
