In the afterlife, she met a goddess who granted her the wish of becoming an immortal witch. For the next 300 years, she has fully maxed out her level by killing slimes.

She was voiced by Aoi Yuuki in the Japanese version and by Skyler Davenport in the English version. Her Japanese voice actress has also provided the voices of Lumine from Genshin Impact, Rita Rossweisse from Honkai Impact 3rd, Tsuyu Asui from My Hero Academia, Tatsumaki from One-Punch Man, Hibiki Tachibana from Symphogear, and Tanya von Degurechaff from The Saga of Tanya the Evil.

Appearance[]

Despite her immortal age, Azusa is a medium-sized female with a long blonde hair and blue eyes. Her hair has been braided around her head. Her usual outfit is a witch garment, consisting of a large witch hat, black coat containing orange stripes around its sleeves and two red bows on each sides, and then a mustard-colored cravat. Her lower garments are a dark-blue skirt, and brown leather boots.

Personality[]

Azusa is generally a carefree and calm girl, encouraging others to be in the same boat as hers. Azusa rather disinclines work as a factor of her death due to overworking in her previous life.

As a result, she does live in a calm, peaceful life while at the verge of killing slimes. Despite this, she may still emphasize working when it's necessary to her, as long as the work doesn't taint her principles.

Azusa is very hospitable and social to the people around her, having befriended many known characters throughout the series even the ones who hold a grudge against her such as the likes of Eno or Shalsha.

Biography[]

In her previous life, Azusa was a 27-years old Japanese woman who spent majority of her life overworking, calling herself a "corporate slave". She was stuck working 50 days straight without rest which ended up to her eventual death as a result. In the afterlife, a goddess became sympathetic on her, offering her a new peaceful life of utopia. Azusa then asks for immortal and her youthful appearance before reincarnating as a witch.

In her new life, Azusa lived on a small house prepared for anyone who stumbles upon it, just a few distance from the highlands. When she killed a slime and discovered the crystals they dropped, Azusa went to Flatta and met Natalie, the adventurers' guild receptionist. She told Azusa that the crystal can be sold by the adventurers, if she joins the guild. Conceived by it, Azusa then joins the adventurers' guild to start her new life.

300 years later, Azusa finally hits max level (Level 99) after her daily routine of killing 25 slimes a day. Her level comes to a shock when Natalie Jr., the current receptionist saw it. News about her strength spreads throughout the town even though she doesn't want her level to become publicly known, causing numerous adventurers to test her abilities, where she overpowers them despite reluctantly refusing it. Later on, a red dragon named Laika would hear the rumors about Azusa and dares a challenge against her. The witch easily defeats her by freezing her mouth, causing her to claim around and ultimately wrecking her own house. Delivering a powerful blow against the dragon, Azusa demanded her to repair the damage she has done while Laika accepts the offer. At some time, she became Azusa's disciple. Afterwards, she discovers that her daily routine of killing slimes have caused their spirits to coalesce as two slime spirits: Falfa and Shalsha. While Falfa is a rather cheerful individual and loving child for her mother, Shalsha on the other hand is a far more serious and vengeful one. She initially vowed to seek revenge and attempted to kill her, but was defeated by Laika. In their mother's house, Shalsha was encouraged by Azusa and her sister to unite with their mother, finally becoming a member of the family.

Powers and Abilities[]

Being a Witch of the Highlands, Azusa is proficient in many forms of magical arts. As attributed by her daily routine of slime killing for 300 years, Azusa has significantly garnered superhuman capabilities., thus her level became a "God-Tier" and maxed out all stats.
