Badtz-Maru is a character created by the Japanese company Sanrio and created by Hisato Inoue in 1993. He is portrayed as a penguin with spiky hair and is one of the characters that is aimed for both genders.
Personality and background[]
Badtz-Maru was born on April 1st in Oahu, Hawaii and he lives with his mother and his father, who likes playing pinball.
Badtz is generally a very mischevious penguin and enjoys walking his pet alligator Pochi, he usually gains lots of attention when he does walk his alligator.
He generally dreams of greatness when he gets older and wants to be the "boss of everything"
Trivia[]
- His character has some resemblance with Bart Simpson, a character from American cartoon The Simpsons, which both characters has the same birth date: April 1st (April Fool's Day).
- It is revealed that Keroppi has a crush on him as shown in Hello Kitty and Friends Supercute Adventures.
- Along with Keroppi and Hello Kitty, he makes a small cameo appearance in Ready Player One.
- Along with Hello Kitty, My Melody and Chococat, he became an unlockable character during a Sanrio themed event for Sonic Dash.
