Baizhu (Chinese: 白术 Báizhú) is a support character and playable Dendro character in Genshin Impact. He is the proprietor of Bubu Pharmacy, who, in spite of his rather shady reputation for overcharging his patients, has acquired great fame for his work ethic and efficacy in medical arts.
Baizhu is voiced by Kōji Yusa in Japanese and Sean Durrie in English. Kōji Yusa only voiced as Shadow the Hedgehog from Sonic hedgehog.
Apperance[]
Baizhu is a tall man with light skin, dark orange eye, green untied bun pony tail hair with hair stick. He wear a glass with a jade on the right. He use his pet talking white snake as Changsheng on his neck. He wear a white light blue lab coat, a black dark blue bottomless shirt a few gold with a gold clover charm. A light green glove is on a right and black glove is on a left with light green chuanglian-bird hut. A long purple pant with a dark blue belt and silk pink and light blue cover on green belt. And he wear a dark blue shoes.
Personality[]
Baizhu has a number of rumors swirling around him, most notably the foul taste of his medicine. In spite of this however, he has a great reputation to the point where even Xiao is aware of who he is. In spite of his phenomenal medical skill, Baizhu is not regarded by the community as "a man of high caliber or great courage."
Baizhu pursues to obtain eternal life, a desire that has only increased after taking in Qiqi. However, it is later revealed that the real reason why Baizhu strives to become immortal is to protect both himself and Changsheng, aware that those who made contracts with her would eventually die young while not wanting her to die either.
In spite of him having ulterior motivations for adopting her, Baizhu is nonetheless incredibly protective of Qiqi. He was responsible for repeatedly foiling Hu Tao's attempts to lay Qiqi to rest (the thing Qiqi herself dreads the most). Even after Hu Tao gave Qiqi an exception, she still holds a grudge towards Baizhu for his desire to become immortal.
As genuine as the efficacy of his medical practices are, Baizhu's business practices have a reputation to be shady. Changsheng states he was pleased to have found new people to fleece following the sale of Everlasting Incense to the Traveler and Zhongli. Despite Changsheng's suggestions, Baizhu has also had dealings with Yanfei, a legal advisor, about charlatans selling ineffective remedies. Paimon views his sly attitude upon first meeting him as quite strange, but Yanfei on the other hand brushed off her concerns and claimed that this was how Baizhu always acted.

- He is the first character known to carry a Dendro vision (v1.0), before the installation of the Bloom and Quicken reactions.
- It is speculated that the second character wish of Genshin Impact version 1.3 for Keqing is originally prepared for Baizhu.
- Besides, Keqing works well with Dendro for Catalyzation and Aggrevation.
- His birthday, April 25, falls on the World Malaria Day.
