He first appears in "Fire Fight" where he was a worker of Cobra Industries who used their technological and economic advancement to save Green Ridge. However, Barbecue later learns that Cobra never intended to give him and Green Ridge any benefits they were promised and learned the dam was a fake and had hired Firefly to burn the town. Shock to learn that he had been working for a bunch of lying snakes, Barbeque teams up with Joes to blow up and the dam and stop Firefly. During his fight against Firefly in a helicopter, he tells Firefly to tell the Baroness he quits. Later, Barbeque decides to remain in his home and rebuild after trusting Cobra.
Unlike his actions figure and cartoon incarnation, Barbecue never wears his fire suit. Barbecue's backstory is also mention, he reveals that someone started fires in his town with a box matches. The incident left him with scars and pushed him into becoming a firefighter.
