A version of the Baroness serves as a supporting protagonist in the two-part episode "Worlds Without End" of the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero animated series. In an alternate reality where Cobra has taken over the world, she has defected from Cobra and becomes a resistance fighter and an ally of G.I. Joe.
Biography[]
When a group of Joes were transported to an alternate version of Earth, they discover that Cobra rules it and has wiped out G.I. Joe. In this world, the Baroness has also become a double agent and the lover of Joe member Steeler, who, like the other Joes, was killed by Cobra. After learning of the normal timeline Steeler's presence from former Cobra Viper Leila, an overjoyed Baroness rescues him along with Grunt, and helps him recover from an illness caused by a bite from one of Destro's mutated bugs. She reveals to Steeler her double agent status. Steeler and Grunt try to convince her that they are from another world, but the Baroness learns the truth when she notices Steeler has a tattoo on his left arm instead of his right, as the Steeler from her reality does. She begins to cry, but soon agrees to help the Joes escape. Taking advantage of Cobra Commander and Destro's power struggle, the Baroness ignites a civil war between the two as a distraction. With her help, most of the Joes return to their world, but Steeler decides to stay in the alternate reality with the Baroness, followed by Grunt and Clutch, seeking to rebuild G.I. Joe.
