Barry is a supporting character in Paper Mario.
History[]
Barry is first seen in the middle of a bush on the way to Forte Gino, after Tippi is kidnapped by Francis. Barry will give Mario helpful hints to get past various areas before reaching Francis' residence, then he will ask Mario to come back to him if he manages to rescue Tippi. Once the Pure Heart is obtained and Tippi is rescued, if Mario returns to Barry, he will later join his company. Barry's ability allows you to protect yourself through the use of a circular shield, which lasts for a few seconds. With this skill it is possible to hit enemies, counterattack and return blows from afar to the sender. To ensure an excellent effect, Barry must be used at the right time. It is not necessary to have him join the company but it is essential to protect himself from enemy blows, so it is advisable to take him with you because he will help a lot during the adventure.
