You want... me? ...Haha...HAHA YAY!!! HAHAHA!!!
~ Bassie’s reaction when buying her, hinting at her nervous nature.
Bassie: So you're the Christmas Holiday Main?
Bobette: Hmm, last I checked, yup!
Bassie: Last you checked? Like, we could be replaced!?
Bobette: What? No, no! I meant it as a silly little comment!
Bassie: ...Oh- HAHAHAHA! You're so FUNNY!
Bobette: Uhm thanks...?
~ Bobette and Bassie’s conversation with each other, foreshadowing Bassie’s fear of being replaced.

Bassie Bloomington (or known as Bassie the Basket, better known as Bassie) is one of the main protagonists in the roblox game Dandy's World.

She is one of the Toons that explore the grounds of the abandoned Gardenview Center along with being one of the eight Main Characters, serving as the Easter Main Character.

Appearance[]

Bassie appears as a wicker basket with two handles on the side, along with purple and light pink flowers in her head with green leaves leaking out. For her clothing, she wears a purple tank top and a long pink skirt that resembles that similar to a petal that reaches and covers most of her legs, she wears green-and-light green patterned stirrup socks.

Personality[]

Bassie is presented to be a shy, timid, and nervous Toon, exchanging in interactions with the rest of the Toons, despite this, she is shown to have care and sympathy towards her friends, as seen when she talked to Flyte in the elevator or when buying Flyte from her store, admitting it’s a ‘shame on how he can’t visit his sister often’, she is apologetic and admires Toons (notably the Main Characters) for their talents, as demonstrated when she talks to Vee.

Though as the game progresses, it shows the truth behind Bassie’s timid and nervous nature. Revealing she has a fear of being replaced/failure, presumably after seeing a note left by Delilah Keen, calling Bassie 'dependant' unlike being ‘independent’ like the Main Characters, along with Cocoa being planned to replace him her. As a result, she tries to be more ‘independent' to not lose her status, as shown when she tells Cocoa that she doesn’t need help from her when talking with her in the elevator. Additionally, she resents Cocoa and envies her, as seen in their dialogue, where she tells Cocoa she’s not like her. Though it is hinted she wants to be a better Toon, which can be implied when she talks to Sprout.

Biography[]

Bassie, along with Eggson, Flyte, and Cocoa, were Holiday Toons made specifically when Easter came around. With Bassie serving as the Main Character of the event.

Even though Bassie was the Main Character of the event, Delilah Keen thought that she wasn’t fit to be one stating on how Bassie was more dependent than independent than the rest of the Main Characters, along with considering to replace Bassie with Cocoa as the Main Character for Easter, something that Bassie would eventually find and know about.

Sometime after this, Bassie would start gaining the fear of losing her spot as a Main Character along with being replaced, which led her to trying to become more 'dependent' like Delilah said. Align with this, she would harbor hatred, envy, and resentment towards Cocoa.

On the 29th of June, Gardenview Center shutting down permanently due to safety regulations and an unknown ‘malfunction’ incident, which is hinted to be the creation of the Twisteds. However, the details of the incident are currently unrevealed. After Gardenview Center closed its doors, Bassie, along with the other Toons stayed there.

Trivia[]

  • Bassie mentions that one of her favorite flowers are Hyacinths, as shown when she talks to Glisten. Hyacinths (specifically yellow ones) can represent jealousy, this can tie back to how she envies Cocoa and tries her best to not lose her status as a Main Character by becoming ‘independent'. To add on, purple Hyacinths represents regret and forgiveness, this can be viewed as Bassie wanting Delilah to ‘forgive her’ by trying to become independent, this is further shown as seen in the Easter Floor, where the text ‘I’m sorry’ is shown on one of the walls in a secret room.
