The Bat-Family, also spelt Bat Family, is one of the iconic superhero teams in the DC Universe, specifically being the titular main protagonists of the Batman franchise.
They are a group of heroic vigilantes that protects the city of Gotham from dangerous criminals, such as the Joker, the League of Assassins, and the Court of Owls. Despite every member not being blood related, the members of the team often treat each other like a family.
Bruce Wayne/Batman: The founder of the "Batman Family", Bruce Wayne took up the mantle of the Bat to avenge the murders of his parents by striking terror into the hearts of Gotham's criminal underworld. To his young proteges, he acts like a father-figure to them and despite not showing it much, he does genuinely love and care for them.
Dick Grayson/Nightwing: When his parents were killed in a circus accident that was later discovered to have been orchestrated by a gangster named Tony Zucco, Bruce took Dick under his wing and raised him as his ward. Dick wanted to join Batman's battle, and so he became the first and most famous Robin. After years as Batman's sidekick, they had a falling out and Dick took up the persona of Nightwing, an independent hero. He eventually reconciled with Bruce, and was even officially adopted as his son.
Damian Wayne/Robin: The biological son of Bruce Wayne and Talia Al Ghul, he is the fourth and current Robin. While Damian is arrogant and stubborn, he possesses a good heart and wishes to follow in his father's footsteps as a hero.

Alfred Pennyworth: He has served for decades as the Wayne family butler, and became a father-figure to the young Bruce after the death of his parents. He has also been a major influence in the lives of the young men and women who became Batman's allies in the war against crime over the years.
Lance Bruner was considered the second Robin in the Pre-Crisis Earth-One continuity while Jason Todd would be known as the second Robin in other continuities.
