Personality[]
Batman retains many of his classic characteristics from the comics up until Superman begins his campaign for world order. Batman was shocked when Superman killed the Joker and thought that Clark might murder the Joker because of grief and revenge for Lois and the death of his unborn child.
When Damian Wayne helped Superman in moving all the prisoners of Arkham Asylum to an unknown facility, Damian accidentally killed Dick Grayson. Superman's actions prompted Batman to reject Damian by killing his "real" son. Dick's death has destroyed him to the point of self-harm, with Batman constantly punching the training dummy until his hand begins to bleed. After Selina stopped him in order to console him, Batman broke down and mourned his first son's death.
Batman began the Insurgency to stop them Superman and his allies. He is willing to share his identity with them, Bruce's trust in others has been reduced by other heroic acts. He continues to keep secrets to ensure that no one will betray him, keeping Martian Manhunter's involvement secret as a way to keep him. Under the packaging.
Powers and Abilities[]
Unlike most superheroes, Batman does not possess any superpowers, instead relying on his intellect, fighting skills, and wealth. Batman's physical and mental abilities are pivotal to his success as a superhero, yet neither is the singular trait that allows him to succeed against his stronger foes. In the end it appears that Batman's true greatest strength is his judgement and ability to know when he is in over his head.
