Batten Rouge is a supporting character in the Netflix TV show Sonic Prime, based on Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. She is an anthropomorphic bat who is the No Place counterpart of Rouge the Bat.
She was voiced by Kazumi Evans as her original counterpart and always as her original counterpart in Japanese, she is voiced by Rumi Ochiai.
Personality[]
Like the rest of her crew, Batten speaks stereotypical pirate slang and enjoys being a pirate. She is very loyal, although she agrees that she would need another captain.
Powers and Abilities[]
As a bat, Batten is capable of flight. Like the rest of her crew, she wields a sword, though according to Knuckles the Dread, Batten has never been in combat prior to confronting Rusty Rose.
Appearance[]
Rouge in appearance is almost literally identical to its original part: white fur, triangular ears, with peach-colored inside and muzzle, black nose, green eyes and large dams.
As attire he wears a yellow bandana on his forehead, a dark blue shirt with black collar under a white waistcoat fastened by four bronze buttons with two black straps, dark blue trousers, gloves and boots (which have black soles and black straps with bronze buckles ) brown with a brionze ring on each wrist.

- Her name is a triple pun: the word "batten" refers to a long strip of wood, and is often used to secure something on a ship (hence the phrase "batten down the hatches"). It also contains the word "bat", the species of animal that Rouge is. Finally, the formatting of the name is likely a reference to the capital city of Louisiana, Baton Rouge.
