Becky Demuth is one of the three main protagonists in the 2019 film In the Tall Grass along with Travis and Tobin Humboldt. After Travis got her pregnant, she went with her brother Cal Demuth to San Diego, as she was pressured to get an abortion against her own volition. Unfortunately, she and Cal both heard Tobin calling to them from in tall fields of grass, of which she and Cal soon got lost in as well, as the fields frequently shifted time and space. This caused Travis to arrive looking for them. To complicate matters, Cal was incestuous and wanted to sleep with her. When they escaped, they heard Tobin calling again, but the real Tobin came out of the fields, warning them not to enter at any circumstances by showing Becky her necklace given to him by Travis, prompting them to drive away, with Becky deciding against the would-be abortion.
She is portrayed by Laysla De Oliveira, who also plays Dodge in Locke & Key, Veronica in Guest of Honour, and Cruz Manuelos in the upcoming Lioness.
