Benjamin Kirby Tennyson is the titular main protagonist of the 2007 made-for-TV film Ben 10: Race Against Time, based on the franchise of the same name. He is a normal 10-year-old boy who, during summer vacation with his Grandpa Max and cousin Gwen, discovered a device known as the Omnitrix, which allows him to turn into any of 10 different aliens at a time.
After a power-hungry warlord from another dimension, Eon, arrives in his hometown of Bellwood, Ben must band together with Max, Gwen, and the entire Plumber force to stop him before he manages to reactivate the Hands of Armageddon, a power weapon with the capability of destroying the entire universe.
He was portrayed by Graham Phillips, who also voiced Harry Osborn in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
Biography[]
Race Against Time[]
Summer has come to an end, and Ben finds himself back at school. Disappointed that he can't share his adventures or the secret of the Omnitrix with anyone, he anticipates another dull school year. However, everything changes when Eon appears on the scene the day before classes begin, sparking a heated confrontation with Heatblast. Despite Heatblast seeming to emerge victorious, Eon continues to pursue Ben relentlessly, seeking to harness his youthful power to activate the Hands of Armageddon. This leads to Ben being constantly guarded for 24 hours a day.
As the story unfolds, Eon's pursuit of Ben intensifies, culminating in a climactic showdown where Eon temporarily seizes control of Ben's body. Through the help of Gwen, Ben manages to wrestle back control from Eon and thwart a potential Chronian invasion. But Eon's thirst for vengeance remains unabated, prompting a final confrontation where Wildmutt intervenes, seemingly dispatching Eon into the Hands of Armageddon.
In the aftermath, Ben and Gwen find themselves celebrating an unexpected victory as they clinch second place in a talent show.
Ben 10: Ultimate Alien[]
In the episode "Ben 10,000 Returns", Ben Prime and his universe's Kevin and Gwen view into RAT Ben's timeline, where it's revealed that Wildmutt actually threw Eon out of the RAT timeline and into crosstime.
Personality[]
Like his original counterpart, he possesses a strong sense of adventure and a desire to explore new places and situations. He is always eager to embark on new missions and face challenges head-on and is naturally curious about the world around him, especially when it comes to the Omnitrix, the powerful alien device that allows him to transform into various extraterrestrial beings. He often seeks to understand its capabilities and unlock new transformations. Despite his young age, Ben displays remarkable courage in the face of danger. He doesn't hesitate to put himself in harm's way to protect others or to confront villains threatening innocent lives.
However, his impulsiveness sometimes leads him to act before thinking things through fully. He may rush into situations without considering the consequences, which can occasionally get him into trouble. But one Ben sets his mind to something, he is incredibly determined to see it through. Whether it's defeating a powerful enemy or solving a difficult problem, he will persevere until he achieves his goal.
He's playful and sometimes has a cheeky sense of humor, often cracking jokes even in the midst of tense situations. His lightheartedness helps to keep the mood light and adds levity to the adventures he embarks on. He has a strong sense of compassion for others, especially those in need, and is quick to lend a helping hand and stands up against injustice whenever he encounters it.
Appearance[]
Ben's appearance features fair skin, green eyes, and shaggy brown hair. He accessorizes with the prototype Omnitrix on his right wrist and black sneakers. Throughout his adventures, Ben showcases a variety of outfits to suit different occasions.
Initially, he wears a dark blue raglan shirt with lighter blue sleeves and blue and white vertically-striped pajama pants, embodying youthful comfort. As he starts school, Ben opts for a brown hooded jacket over a red polo shirt, white undershirt, and khaki pants, symbolizing a transition to maturity.
During physical activities, he dons a practical beige jumper and blue shorts. Later, he sports his brown jacket over an orange t-shirt with a black and white stripe, paired with dark blue jeans for casual outings.
For the majority of his adventures, Ben's signature attire consists of a black-striped, white shirt with short sleeves, dark blue jeans, and black sneakers, symbolizing his readiness for heroism. Even in moments of adversity, such as when held captive by Eon, Ben's resilience shines through, as evidenced by the red undershirt he wears.
In "Ultimate Alien," Ben retains his youthful appearance, reminiscent of his 10-year-old self, showcasing continuity across different dimensions of time and space.
