Biography

In 1999, Benjamín Esposito is a retired officer who narrates the case of the murder and rape of Liliana Colotto de Morales twenty-five years ago. Benjamín´s rival, Romano, accuses two parsleys as the culprits of the murder, which enrages Esposito and threatens to report him, starting a feud.

A few days later, with the help of Liliana's husband, Ricardo, they find a new suspect call Isidoro Gómez, that he was the victim's boyfriend in adolescence and now lives in Buenos Aires. Esposito goes to his house, but does not find anyone, since Gómez knows that they are looking for him. Esposito later goes Gomez Mother's home, stealing some notes to find a clue.

Esposito discovers that Gómez is a fan of the Racing Club de Avellaneda soccer club. Esposito and Sandoval go to the stadium of Club Atletico Huracan, who is facing Racing. After Racing scores a goal, the duo finally find Gomez and chase him around the stadium until they capture him.

Esposito and Liliana finally manage to prove Gomez's guilt, but incredibly, Romano lets him go free, since he provided information about the guerrillas and they hired him as a hit man (since Argentina was going through the worst political situation at that time, on the brink of a dictatorship). Esposito later discovers Sandoval's murder, which causes him to go into exile to Jujuy, saying goodbye to Irene.

Coming back to the present, Esposito goes to Ricardo's new house, who tells Esposito that he "killed" Gómez in the trunk of his car, so he no longer has to look for him. Esposito goes in his car, reflexing on everything that happened. Esposito decides to go back to Ricardo's house, where he meets Gómez again, locked up, old and almost unable to speak. Ricardo mentions that that was what he wanted, to be given a life sentence. Given this, Esposito finally leaves the place, leaving the past behind forever.

Benjamin then meets Irene again, who asks him to close the door, finally closing the case.
