Benny is a character of Bob the Builder. He is a 9-year-old small magenta compact tracked digger with a rear-end backhoe arm and bucket. He is good friends with Scoop, of whom he looks up to.
He is voiced by Emma Tate in both English versions, who also voices Dizzy and Lofty in the US.
Biography[]
Once, Benny and some other machines were called by Jana to build the ski run and games courses for the winter games in Bobblesberg. However due to a snowstorm, the other machines couldn't make it, as the path was blocked. Benny left before the storm and made it to Bobblesberg. Soon, the plans were changed and Bob's machines were assigned to help build the courses, with Benny showing them what to do.
Sometime later, Benny ended up in Bobsville and was kept in a machine hire company. When Robert and Dot went to stay in the Yard, Robert contacted the company, as he needed a digger to help him out with the repair work in Bobsville. The company sent Benny over, much to Scoop's surprise. Occasionally when there is no repair work, Benny goes to Sunflower Valley to help out Bob, Wendy and the machines.
Personality[]
Benny is very friendly and is eager to help out on jobs. He looks up to Scoop, getting most of his advice from him. Benny also gave Scoop the nickname of "Big Banana" since he is big and yellow.
