Bert Gunnarsson is a Mormon Ghoul priest and doctor working for the New California Republic at the Aerotech Office Park in the 2011 Role-Playing Game Fallout: New Vegas.
He was voiced by Sam Riegel, who voiced many of the other unnamed ghouls in the game, alongside Phoenix Wright from the Ace Attorney games, Viral from the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, "Tennessee Kid" Cooper from the Sly Cooper games and Donatello from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003.
Background[]
Bert came to the Mojave wasteland in order to help reform his friend Nephi, whilst in the Mojave he would train with the Followers of the Apocalypse to learn more about medicine. He would eventually come to realise his mission is a lost cause, as Nephi had embraced the violence and drugs, eventually becoming known as the infamous and feared Fiend leader, Driver Nephi.
Despite being disheartened by the loss of his friend, Bert moved on and used his medical knowledge to help others, eventually settling with the NCR at Aerotech Office Park and providing free medical services to the refugees and any travellers who may pass through Aerotech.
If Nephi dies at any point in the game, most likely during the quest Three Card Bounty, Bert will find out and come to terms with it, hoping that his soul finally finds peace.
Trivia[]

- He is also one of the few doctors to provide his services for free, however he is unable to heal radiation sickness or addictions, only basic health damage.
