Bert Ljung is the main protagonist in the Swedish book-series, radio series, serial series, films and tv-series by the same name. In the beginning of the franchise he's in fifth grade but later becomes a typical teenager. In the trilogy you get to follow Bert's diary and his interest in girls. He lives in the fictional city Öreskoga where he also attends Beckaskolan school.
He was portrayed by Martin Andersson in the 1994 TV series and the 1995 film, Bert: The Last Virgin, Hugo Krajcik in the 2020 film, and Adrian Macéus in the 2021 TV series.
Biography[]
Bert was born on 21 January 1976 in fictional city Öreskoga to Madelene Olsson and Fredrik Ljung. He is most known for his interests in girls and is always trying to hang out with them with mixing results. When he doesn't go to school he plays soccer in the local club. He also sings and plays electric base in the band "Heman Hunters" together with Lill-Erik, Torleif, Nicke and Björna.
Later in the trilogy Bert goes through puberty and deals with problems as acne and bullying. His main bully is "Klimpen". Klas Svensson (his real name) who lives in a caravan with his dad, is the goalkeeper in Berts soccer-team. Åke Nordin is Berts best friend. He also plays football in Berts team. Sometimes when Bert makes a fool of himself in front of girls he says he has become a Caveman named Milton.
Re-makes[]
Bert was in 2020 (26 years after the original) re-made. The same thing happened one year later but this time as a tv-series not related to the first re-make. The new additions are often criticized by original fans of the shows.
