Bethany "Beth" Briggs is one of the four central main characters of the short-running cartoon, O'Grady, a 2004 sitcom made by Nickelodeon company, Noggin.

She was voiced by Holly Schlesinger.

About[]

Beth is a blue-haired Buddhist vegetarian girl who's Abby's friend till the end, and sometimes shown to be the complete opposite of Kevin. She is likely the smartest of the group, but possibly infrequently unconcerned about the Weirdness (which explains why she can be considered the opposite of Kevin, who is concerned about the Weirdness.

Physical Appearance and Clothing[]

Beth is a light-skinned teenaged girl, with blue curly hair and bangs the resemble a curly mustache. Her face possesses boldly drawn eyes with six lashes on each, and big lips covered in red lip gloss. She wears a violet top with pinkish-purple sleeves, and black leggings with black boots.

Powers and Skills[]

The Weirdness[]

According to Kevin, the town of O'Grady is plagued by the Weirdness due to a secret government program whom he is aware of (as said in the first ten episodes' cold openings), while Abby sometimes admits that she believed that the Weirdness was caused by something else (a toxic spill, an ancient city built below the town, etc.).

Uses[]

Cloning[]

In "Clones", the Weirdness gives students the ability to clone their selves when they get angry. Although not seen getting cloned, Beth appears to already have a clone. Throughout the episode, everyone in O'Grady High School (save for Harlod and Dr. Myers, whom failed to catch the Weirdness) have brought Weirdness-born clones to school, restaurants, and everywhere they go, which makes them learn new things and become more helpful and supportive towards their clone parent (much to Harold's chagrin and jealousy).

Superhuman Strength[]

In "A Stronger O'Grady", the Weirdness gives female (and only females) uncontrollable superhuman strength.

Invisibility[]

In "Big Jerk on Campus", the Weirdness gives O'Grady townians the ability to fade out of visibility with they hold their breath. A hiccupping Harold is given a suggestion (by Beth) to hold his breath to remove his breath. However, this does seem to help, not only does the annoyed Harold still got the hiccups, but also appear to fade away, making him the first person we see to "use" this Weirdness.
