Shijima's sister (first name unknown) is a major character in the 2019 manga Shimeji Simulation, and the main antagonist of the manga's Chapter 30.
She is the enigmatic but intelligent older sister of Shijima Tsukishima, who has a deep fascination in researching the mysterious happenings around her town, going so far in creating technologies including the "Raw Fish Generator" in Chapter 9, which is a machine that allows someone to be sent into their own dreams.
Appearance[]
Shijima's sister has blue eyes with glasses and black hair that is tied in twintails with a white hair tie. She also has a white fish-shaped hairpin. She is always seen wearing a lab coat underneath her clothing, which comprises of a black tie, long-sleeved blouse, black skirt, as well as black socks and sneakers for her daily clothing.
Personality[]
Shijima's sister is often seen with a rather tired expression in her face. However, she is also known to be extremely intelligent and inventive, who is able to invent rather bizarre technologies including the Raw Fish Generator, a giant hole-digging excavator, and the Raw Fish Converter.
In Chapter 5, Shijima's sister is somehow shown to have a dislike towards the government, going so far in calling them "like a lizard".
She is also rather knowledgeable about dreams, as she is also able to send her younger sister Shijima through a dream world through the "Fish With Names" from the Raw Fish Generator.
Her particular interest, however, lies with her curiosity surrounding the odd goings with her town, as she spends her time tirelessly into inventing the following machines she created to achieve her goal, as well as investigating the mysteries within her town, including the existence of mysterious rocks, whom she later dubs it as "Dreamstones" in Chapter 29, as well as her revealing what her town truly is.
Big Sis gradually lost touch with reality as her obsession with West Yomogi grew more intense. She showed this by having no remorse about destroying West Yomogi in order to prove to The Gardener that her world was an idealistic utopia and showed little concern for the future harm she would cause to her experiments, Shijima, or the residents of the town.
Abilities[]
- Intelligence - Shijima's sister is extremely intelligent, who is able to deduce the goings within her world as well as coming up with technologies that would achieve her goal. In Chapter 29, her intelligence allows her to deduce that that the world she is in is nothing more than someone's dream but a mere creation.
- Mechanical Aptitude - She is a skilled inventor and a professional for technologies, who has created the following machines, including the Raw Fish Generator that allows her to send someone into their dreams, as well as a giant hole excavator that is used to dig further into the mysterious hole in Shijima's school. She specializes in fish mechanics, as all of her technologies tend to have fish.
- Dream Manipulation - It is revealed in Chapter 9 that Shijima's sister is able to send her younger sister Shijima into a dream world through the Raw Fish Generator. She later does the same thing in Chapter 29, when she sends both Shijima and Majime into the same dream world the former was in.

Volume 1[]
In Chapter 2, Shijima's sister is encountered by Majime, when she is seen "fishing", where later reveals that she is fishing for the souls of the fishes, before deducing that the "field" around her isn't strong enough. She then orders Majime to hold a contraption with shell hanging on it, but to no avail.
In Chapter 3, near the end of the chapter, Shijima's sister deduces that a loop is happening, when she said to her younger sister Shijima that the Hole Digging Club was named as Hole Filling Club when she was a high school student in the past. She then reveals to her younger sister that she's researching on "saving the world", much to Shijima's bewilderment.
In Chapter 5, Shijima's sister is seen reaping at the wheat field by Shijima and Majime, before she reveals it to the two that she has found a way to detect the distortion, while proceeding to order the two to keep an eye on the monitor in front of them.
In Chapter 6, Shijima's sister later reveals to her younger sister that she now has three shimeji mushrooms growing out of her head, as well as her deducing that she is now able to read minds, but it soon turns out that she is in a dream. However, Shijima's sister is later seen by her younger sister, as she is seen standing in front of a strange technology.
In Chapter 8, Shijima's sister later makes an appearance at the end of the chapter, where she is seen constructing a strange machine.
In Chapter 9, Shijima's sister later finishes her invention, the Raw Fish Generator, with the help of her younger sister Shijima and Majime, before Shijima reveals that this was the same machine she saw in her own dream. She then deduces that the said machine is used to send anyone back to the world where God exists, before she turns it on. With the machine turning on, the trio later see fishes floating around, whom Shijima's sister names it "Fish With Names", before she tells them to head into the rooftop. After reaching the rooftop, Shijima's sister then gives two tablets of sleeping pills to her younger sister, before she marvels at her successful invention, as she watches Shijima being sent into a dream world.
Volume 2[]
In Chapter 18, after being questioned by Shijima about the creation of a hole-digging excavator, Shijima's sister later accepts Mogawa-sensei's offer.
In Chapter 19, with the plans of the creation of a hole-digging excavator comes into full circle, as well as the introduction of another technology called the Raw Fish Converter, Shijima's sister later assigns the members of the Hole Digging Club sans Yomikawa into creating the said technology. After three days of gruelling work, the excavator is now completed, as they begin watching the said machine continuously digging through the mysterious hole.
Volume 3[]
In Chapter 28, after Shijima and Majime later discover the strange oddities regarding the appearance of the mysterious rocks around the town, Shijima's sister later reveals that they are "Dreamstones", as she also adds that she has been investigating regarding their sudden appearance for an indeterminate amount of time. Knowing that explanation won't suffice, Shijima's sister later brings her younger sister and Majime into a Dreamstone. They are later transported into what seems to be a dream world, whom Shijima's sister names it as a "Dreamscape", before Shijima realizes that this is the same dream she has during the events of Chapter 10. Shijima's sister later reveals to her younger sister and Majime that the same mysterious rock in front of them within the Dreamscape is the same rock that appeared the next day after Shijima's dream was over.
In Chapter 29, picking up from the previous events of Chapter 28, Shijima's sister tells both her younger sister and Majime about the Dreamscape that they have, before she shows them the current Dreamscape. She then adds that the base within the Dreamscape is the dream she has modified for herself, as means to make it easier to be created. Shijima's sister reveals the difference between dream and reality is how anyone can share it to others or not. Majime then adds that they are sharing the same dream that they are in, before Shijima's sister suspects that the dream they are in is getting closer into becoming a reality. Later on, Shijima's sister shows the two the following as the they traverse through, including a Fizeau apparatus. As they head into the final contraption, Shijima's sister then reveals about her success that she had the other day during their experiment at the Danchi, where she was able to link and materialize their own dreams. Suddenly, Shijima's sister takes a nap, but not before she is suddenly awakened by something else that forces her, Shijima, and Majime to leave the Dreamscape, as she suspects that the reality that they are in now is the one they are currently perceiving. Shijima's sister then reveals that she initially imagined about their town having mysterious anomalies including a force field, as well as a power that materializes the thoughts of the people who live. However, Shijima's sister reveals something else: the town they are in has been a dream all along by someone, as well as her knowing about the unique patterns that have been formed by the town's laws. Shijima's sister then reveals that the entire town is nothing more than a "calculation", possibly attributing to how the town was just a mere illusion. However, Shijima's sister is interrupted by an incoming giant truck as it hits towards her, much to the shock of her younger sister and Majime.
In Chapter 30, after getting hit by vehicles from The Gardener, Shijima's sister then briefly clashes by the latter, before Shijima's sister reveals that no traffic-related accidents in West Yomogi for the past year, as well as the preceding years before it. She then reveals that not a single person has been killed within their world through any accident. Shijima's sister then reveals to the Gardener that she can only rearrange the town's influence, as well as people's moods. Later on, Shijima's sister goes to reveal to the Gardener that the sea-urchin device she has created is actually a device used to peer into the thoughts of the people within West Yomogi, as well as a method of interference within the town, before she reveals she destroyed it, since it was used for experiments she conducted. Shijima's sister then reveals that West Yomogi is simply an empty "calculation", where outside of it is just "papier-mache", and everything was just illusory, before she then tells the Gardener that she is a "damper" who is just negating the stability and change within the town and later claims that she cannot handle those things that are beyond her level. Shijima's sister then reveals her true motives to the Gardener: she plans to alter the very foundation of her own world through a mysterious device in the form of a large shell, before raw fish appears around them. Shijima's sister and the Gardener clashed once again, before Shijima's sister gloats about her "giving" everyone "Extra Freedom". Shijima's sister then shockingly tells her younger sister Shijima that everyone about her motivations will be known to the world, once her current plan comes to fruition. Sijima's sister then derides the Gardener's attempts to stop her, telling her that no one can stop her, not even the town's architects, nor a God. She then proceeds to tell everyone else that outside of West Yomogi is disappearing, and that it's considered human nature to seek greater freedom, and that imagination and potential have been acquired ever since. Then, a past of Shijima's sister is revealed, as Shijima is seen watching it. The first of which is when Shijima's sister is seen drawing an art known as "Integration", before a group of unnamed girls tell her that because of her rather detached personality, she is not suited for their group. In another sequence, younger version of Shijima's sister then reveals to the younger Shijima Tsukishima that West Yomogi is not for them, as she reveals that they have no parents, before she dreams of having more freedom. Shijima's sister is later seen with her younger sister in Parthenon.
In Chapter 37, Big Sis is later seen again, this time in the Rock World with Yomikawa.
