Bill Watkins, nicknamed, "Bazooka Bill" is a supporting character in the Spy × Family franchise. He's a first-year student at Eden Academy from Wald Hall and the son of Wesley Watkins, a powerful major of Ostania's national army. Despite his mature appearance and large size, Bill is actually 6 years old and became the way he is due to a lifetime of training with his father. Although initially introduced as the main antagonist of the Stella Star Arc, Bill later becomes a recurring character who, despite his rough exterior, is shown to be honorable and have a good heart.

Appearance[]

Bill is a unusually tall and muscular child for his age, being almost double the size of his peers at Eden, although still small when compared to an actual adult. He has light brown combed hair and glasses. Much like the other students, he's also usually seen wearing the standard Eden Academy male uniform, which consists of a black button up shirt with golden buttons and accents.

During physical education, Bill wears the standard PE uniform of Eden: a white shirt with pink collar adorned wiith the Academy's logo and black shorts.

Personality[]

On his introduction, Bill is shown as a ruthless and competitive individual who, much like the other students at the Academy, also desires to earn enough Stellas to become an Imperial Scholar one day, mostly in hopes of impressing his father, whom he seems to admire a lot. His physical excellence compared to the other kids make him a feared adversary in the physical education classes of Eden, especially in dodgeball, to which he received the nickname of "Bazooka Bill" due to his ruthlessness at the sport. For this reason, his ego occasionally gets the best of him, causing him to belittle his opponents, like he initially did Anya, calling her a "stubby legged shrimp" in his thoughts. Despite this, he still exibits standards against hitting girls during the games, though he often forsakes this if it benefits him.

Despite his mature appearance however, Bill is still a child and oftentimes exhibits typical behavior, such as crying after Anya dodges all of his attacks in the dodgeball match, as well as enthusiastically calling his father "daddy" when he sees him. Beneath his strong appearance, Bill is shown as being an otherwise kind and well-meaning young boy, who often gets along with the other kids, and has an overall good relationship with Anya and Damian, holding no grudges against them for their previous dodgeball game. Bill is also a courageous and, more often than not, will stand up for his fellow colleagues in times of need, such as when he warned everyone about the arrival of the cruel and ruthless teacher, Donna Schlagg, and, in a more extreme situation, he tries to calm down his classmates on the bus during the Red Circus terrorist attack, assuring them that help would come. This act of courage is what would also earn him his very first Stella Star, alongside Becky, Anya and Damian, whose actions helped de-escalate the terrorist raid.

Powers & Abilities[]

Enhanced strenght: Due to his intense lifelong training, Bill is shown to be insanely strong for his age, being capable of throwing a dodgeball with enough strenght to destroy military equipment.
High intelligence: Coupled with his physical training, Bill is also noted as being excepcionally intelligent and capable of analyzing his surroundings and creating strategies on the fly.
Dodgeball skills: Because of his strenght, Bill is proficient at dodgeball, with him even creating his very own techniques in the game. One of which involving him squeezing the ball into a boomerang shape in order to hit several opponents in one throw.
- Homing Slider Shot: A unique dodgeball move created by Bill in which he throws the ball in such a way that it changes the tragectory midair, thus, hitting his opponent if they even try to move sideways to dodge the ball.

Trivia[]

Bill is currently the only Eden student aside from the members of the main child cast (Anya, Becky and Damian) to be shown receiving Stella Stars, the first being a decurrence of his bravery in the Red Circus raid and the second being after passing the Midterm Finals with the second highest score in math.
Bill shares the same voice actor as his father, Wesley, albeit his father's voice is noticeably deeper.
Bill's father made his first physical appearance in an anime original scene in the Stella Star Arc, which showcased his training, albeit with his face obscured. He would eventually make his first official on-screen appearance in Mission 107 of the manga.
