Billy Kid is one of the major protagonists in the 2024 action role-playing science fantasy game Zenless Zone Zero. Billy is an Intelligent Construct with no memory of his past and is a member of the Cunning Hares. He trusts his members and fights off the Eternal for the mission and ally of Phaethon.
He is voiced by Chen Runqiu in Chinese, Yū Hayashi in Japanese, Lee Joo-seung in Korean, Michael Schwalbe in the English prerelease, and Clifford Chapin in the English full release. Hayashi also voiced Manjiro Sano in Tokyo Revengers and Takuma Ino in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Appearance[]
Billy Kid is the mechanical humanoid with white spiky hair and black skin and light yellow eyes with no mouth. His outfit consists of a red jacket, black pants with a leather belt with a chain, a pouch on his right leg, and black, red, and white shoes.
Personality[]
Billy is an energetic character who often speaks in a loud tone. He's quite funny, goofy, and an idiotic android for using funny jokes as a member of Cunning Hares. He assists Phaethon in preventing the hollow during the missions.
Biography[]
Billy is first seen in the prologue escaping from the Red Fang Gang alongside his friends Anby and Nicole Demara, stealing a strongboxfor a client. After failing to escape because of the bulletproof glass, Nicole has Billy use one of the Red Fang Gang's flashbangs to get public security's attention. However, the helicopter fires a missile that sends both Billy and Anby falling to the Hollow below. After reuniting with Anby and confirming he is the real Billy and not an imposter, the two make their way fighting Ethereals before being saved by Phaethon. However, after realizing they left the strongbox in the Hollow, the duo with Nicole return to retrieve it. The trio manages to retrieve the box, but Phaethon couldn't get them out due to a hacker blocking them out. With no choice they used the chip inside the box on their Bangboo to allow Billy and his friends to escape
