Shelley "Binky" Barnes (born November 20th, 1986) is the (former) main antagonist in Arthur who is sometimes a hero and sometimes an antagonist. He often serves as the school bully who has been held back in 3rd grade. Despite acting like a bully, he often has a good side and is still friends with Arthur. He also plays the clarinet and loves animals. His biggest influence is in wrestling. He is voiced by Bruce Dinsmore.
Personality[]
In the original books as well as the early episodes, Binky is portrayed as an antagonist, showing characteristics of a typical school bully, often mocking most people who get in his way. In later episodes however (as well as later books), he begins to soften up, revealing that he has more benevolent interests, such as playing the clarinet and collecting butterflies. These interests he often keeps secret and he only reveals them to his closest and most trusted friends.
Although initially a rival to Arthur, he eventually becomes friends with him and begins hanging out with him and his other friends over the course of the series.
