Black Dynamite was an orphan and so was his younger brother Jimmy. At some point, a family took them in and raised them as their own children. When Black Dynamite's mother died, she begged him to make sure that Jimmy stays out of trouble. He did his best to honor his mother's final wish and got Jimmy out of taking drugs or joining a gang. |

Black Dynamite (born April 5, 1940), is a main protagonist in the Black Dynamite movie and TV series. He was an U.S. soldier who fought in the Vietnam War, and was an officer in the CIA, who had sworn to clean the streets of drugs.
He was portrayed and voiced by Michael Jai White, who also played Spawn in the titular 1997 film. Jon Kent Ethridge and Neil Lewis played the character younger.
