Komand'r, also known as Blackfire, is a supporting antagonist and supervillainess in the DC Universe, specifically serving as a major antagonist in the Teen Titans franchise. She is the older sister of Starfire/Koriand'r and Wildfire/Darkfire/Ryand'r and is the current queen of Tamaran.
History[]
Origins[]
After the events of Flashpoint, which altered the history of the DC Universe, Blackfire sold Starfire into slavery, but unlike most of Blackfire's comic book and television appearances, this time, it wasn't for her to seek revenge on Starfire, it was for them to save their planet from the Blights' rule.
Red Hood and the Outlaws[]
Starfire wasn't friendly towards her sister and the other Tamaraneans since she was sold by Blackfire. After Starfire freed herself, she became known as a heroine and her sister gave her, Roy Harper/Arsenal, and Jason Todd/Red Hood a ship to return to their home on earth. However, the ship wasn't fixed which caused Starfire and the boys to by the ship sometime to be fixed. When Roy was captured by their enemy. Later, Blackfire visited Roy in his prison, and which looked like Roy and Blight were working together.
After he was captured, it was proven that Roy's true nature was an adventure to rescue Blackfire which she was taken by Roy and went back to Starfire and Red Hood. Then, she apologized to her younger sister for being unable to protect her. As of this information, it's proven that unlike most versions of Blackfire, the New 52's Blackfire loves her sister Starfire very much and cares about her and her safety. Luckily, Starfire then woke up and told her that that's not true. The sisters reunite happily and tearfully and Koriand'r forgave Blackfire. Them and the two boys helped each other fight the Blights along with Starfire's other unnamed crew people.
Once they won the battle, Komand'r asked Starfire to stay with her, but Starfire rejected it in a friendly way by saying that her friends on earth need her. Komand'r respected her sister's decision and brought them a ship to ride home while bidding them all a farewell.
Personality[]
Blackfire's personality in the New 52 era is nothing like her personality in the previous DC Comic eras. She is not resentful, and still is a villain, but is much more like a queen who is worried about her planet and the safety of her loved ones, especially Starfire.
