Blinky is a major character in the Tales of Arcadia franchise, primarily serving as one of the two tritagonists (alongside Claire Nuñez) of Trollhunters. He is the chief trainer and mentor of Jim.
Biography[]
When he discovered that there is a teenager, Jim Lake Jr. who found the Trollhunter amulet and was chosen, he and AAARRRGGHH!!! met him and trained him as the next Trollhunter, since the previous one, who is a troll died. Blinky later brought Jim to the Troll Market in order to train him in the training ground.

| “ | For Blinky, the main challenge was to make him appealing despite the amount of eyes. In order to make them fit in his face, he needs special proportions that are not always what we are used to seeing, which was difficult, but at the same time, it is the attribute that makes him unique. He needed to feel wise and worldly, but also approachable and fun. Blinky was at first one of those characters that we thought would be too weird and wacky but he turned out to be one of the most successful. The challenge was to make him appealing and relatable despite his many limbs and eyes. His face was very challenging as we are used to anchoring all the facial features around the eyes, but in this case there are six of them, so it's a bit difficult for readability purposes. That makes the face very long and it's difficult to make it look 'real'. In the end we managed to create something that looks volumetrically plausible and appealing. | „ |

He is a troll with blue skin, six eyes and four arms, which makes him very different from other trolls, except for his brother, Dictacious, who resembles him a lot, except for the skin color. Blinky also appeared to have fangs, horns and a koala-like nose, which are typical for trolls.

Because Guillermo created the character with Kelsey Grammer in mind, he needed to reflect the warmth, gravitas, and intelligence of his value. Blinky is the father figure, the voice of wisdom, empathy, and safety. He had to convey all of those characteristics while still being able to see him as part of the troll world. His six eyes portray his wisdom and also his ability to evaluate any situation with intelligence and reason. He truly can see a problem from all sides—and therefore is the perfect mentor for Jim as he struggles with the weight of responsibility thrust upon him. | „ |

He is a friendly type, since he is very nice to Jim. He is also wise, since he knows what it is like to be a Trollhunter, which is why he is a Trollhunter mentor. He also reads lots of books, which is why he had a library. In Wizards, he used to be a coward, just like other trolls, since they often hide.
