Blooregard Q. Kazoo, or Bloo for short, is one of the two main protagonists (alongside Mac) of the Cartoon Network animated series, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. He is Mac's best friend. Bloo has an alter-ego named Bloo-Superdude.
He is voiced by Keith Ferguson, who also voiced Basch in Final Fantasy XII, and his twin brother, Gabranth, in the Dissidia Final Fantasy series, and Lightning McQueen in Cars Toons. In the Japanese dub of the series, he was voiced by Noriaki Sugiyama.
Appearance[]
Bloo is a blue-colored, dome-shaped, cylinder-like, blob-like, and blanket-like imaginary friend with curved arms, bulging eyes, a little mouth, and stubby hands that are fingerless. He stands at two feet in height and weighs ten pounds when dry.
History[]
Bloo is Mac's white and cylinder-domed no. 71 imaginary friend and best friend who is often very immature, self-centered and egotistical as well as having a knack for getting in trouble and prone for doing kid's and children's antics. Despite all this, he still has a good heart and apologizes for his actions. Bloo loves paddle-balls even though he cannot make the ball hit the paddle. Bloo used to live with Mac and his family (which consists of his mother and his mean-spirited older brother Terrance), but when Mac turned 8, his mother told him that he was getting too old to have an young imaginary friend blue blob and told him to get rid of Bloo. Because of this, Bloo now lives in Foster's Home, a place where imaginary friends who have outgrown their creators live and are well taken care of until they are adopted by another child. Bloo has permission to live there permanently as long as Mac regularly visits. So far, Bloo is the only imaginary friend that we know the full story of.
Heroic Acts[]
- In Berry Scary - When Berry tried to kill Mac, Bloo rescued him with an automatic Paddleball sending Berry on another giant Rubber-band Ball roll.
- In Everyone Knows It's Bendy - Bloo catches Bendy for framing him, Wilt, Coco and Eduardo.
- In Nightmare on Wilson Way - Bloo tight ropes on Mac to prevent Sugar Rush, While they in hallway run from zombies he save Eduardo from zombie by dragging his tail but still dragging Eduardo while he faints When Bloo about to escape along with Eduardo and Coco but he realizes Mac still in room he tired him up earlier, Bloo telling them they can't leave Mac when crawling with zombies inside of Fosters, he couldn’t listen Eduardo's coward he push both Eduardo and Coco top of roof he doesn't leave Mac behind he decides take risk to go back rescued Mac before zombie does he get Coco and Eduardo assisted him go back rescued Mac, they heard Frankie Eduardo go after her but Bloo and Coco tackle him lucky zombie gone so Bloo, Eduardo and Coco goes after Frankie and warn those zombies but they realize they too late, they have to back rescued Mac (thanks to Eduard freak out when zombies respond go after them) Bloo have to throw a book at Coco while she zombie without hesitate He grab Eduardo's hand to run from Zombies
- Bloo only one who protects Mac from any bullies like Terrence and danger time to time.
- In Seeing Red - Bloo manage be there right on time to defeat Terrence to save Mac by popping in and out of Terrence's clothes, leading Terrence to accidentally hit himself repeatedly.
- In House of Bloo's - Bloo have to hit Terrence with trophy to knock him out
- he trying protecting Mac from Eduardo because he thinks Eduardo is monster
- In Duchess of Wails - Bloo have to help Mac return Duchess to Foster after Mac realize he and his family had to move out of apartment to Singapore that preventing Mac from visit Bloo everyday
- In The Sweet Stench of Success - Bloo feel remorse for he made horror mistakes by joining Kip Snip in his tv show to Hollywood and won't see Mac again, Bloo manages tip hidden messages, so Mac and others see Hidden massages need help, he stands up to Kip Snip front everyone in pubic, reveals that Deo deodorant is a phony, get Kip Snip arrested by Polices.
- In Destination Imagination - Bloo be assist Mac and others find Frankie somewhere in Toy Box World on journey, he helps Mac and others fought back one of Weeble-like policeman by throwing Lego bricks, and gooey, sticky canyon full of clay-gunk zombies by get Coco assist to throwing Coco's Eggs at clay zombies so he can buy Mac time find way break through bricks cubes, Final battle to World Bloo fight back by throw some random junk at World, so Bloo encourage Eduardo fight back to World after Wilt and Coco was defeat by the World.
- In Cuckoo for Coco Cards - When Bloo finally open Coco eggs to see his baseball card then he realizes all of his stats are negative, with his personality being labeled as "Big insensitive jerkface", he made up with Coco by burn his obsessed his card collection in a fire, he apologizes Coco for his behavior.
- In Eddie Monster - Bloo own to Eduardo apologize for "what the others said about him earlier.
- In Cookie Dough - Bloo sale the lemons juices to help Fosters to pay the roof that leaking, but when he was too greedy too far, he burns entire foster he doesn't know how to cook cookie, Bloo still sale the lemons juices to rebuild foster and he apologized to his friends including Mac for being selfish
- In Good Wilt Hunting - Bloo assisting help others to find Wilt after he realize wilt run away to find his creator.
- Bloo maybe be selfish rude unpleasant, but he feels motion of his horror mistakes what he done, or he regret his mistake,
- Bloo is only one never leave Mac's side or left behind he understands friends is more important than being coward or save himself,
- Bloo doesn't leave his Friends and Mac when he felt dangerous like Zombie, or some enemies
Trivia[]
- Bloo is the only character to appear in all the episodes and shorts of the series and is never absent.
- Bloo has been criticized harshly by some of the viewers of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends because he is extremely rude, selfish, unpleasant in episodes. Although he’s normally better received than the one-shot character Bendy.
- Bloo (along with Duchess) is one of the only two characters who doesn't like Uncle Pockets.
- In the Foster's Home pilot "Template:House of Bloo's" it is revealed that Bloo is spineless.
- Bloo is allergic to tomatoes.
