He is the son of Bowser and heir to the Koopa Kingdom, as well as the second-in-command of the Koopa Troop. Despite being usually depicted as an antagonist, there are times where he's played the role of an anti-hero.
He was voiced by Dolores Rogers between Super Mario Sunshine and Mario Party DS, and is currently voiced by Caety Sagoian, who has been providing his voice in all of his appearances in the franchise since 2007 starting with Mario Strikers Charged. The former also voiced Bowser Jr. in Mario Tennis Open through reused voice clips from Mario Power Tennis. Both voice actors have also shared and reprised their roles in Mario Party 9, Mario Sports Superstars and Mario Tennis Aces.
He became a playable character and would help Mario's group in Story Mode. In Bowser's tower, he helped a Green Toad reach the top of the tower and defeat the bubble clones that Bowser used to ruin the party so he helped Green Toad to save the party from Bowser and his minions, At the end of Bowser's tower, he was blasted off along with Green Toad
Super Mario Party Jamboree[]
Bowser Jr. is one of the playable characters in the game and can be unlocked as an ally in Party-Planner Trek. He is found at King Bowser's Keep and the player must win a single gauntlet-themed minigame to have him fight against the board's boss. If the player is already using Bowser Jr. in Party-Planner Trek, a doppelgänger of Bowser Jr. created by Kamek's magic will fill his role instead. As a Jamboree Buddy, Bowser Jr. will place a "Half-Coins Steal" Trap on the space they are on.
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey[]
In the Bowser Jr.'s Journey campaign, he goes on a journey to cure the Blorbs when Bowser's minions were infected by it in an attempt to impress his father, specifically by finding the ingredients to the Skeletone Formula:D. The Koopalings join him on the adventure, while the Best Fitness Friends tries taking over the Koopa Kingdom.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury[]
While visiting Lake Lapcat, Bowser Jr. decided to pull a prank on his father by covering his face in paint from his magic paintbrush. However, the prank soon went awry as it transformed Bowser into a gigantic rage-filled monster called Fury Bowser who began terrorizing the lake and polluting it with black goop. Unable to calm his father down, Junior was forced to work alongside Mario to stop Bowser and restore him to normal. Bowser Jr. can use his Magic Paintbrush to make items appear by filling in graffiti found across Lake Lapcat. He can also collect coins that are out of Mario's reach and defeat enemies with a spin attack.
Heroic Roles[]
Although he antagonized Mario throughout most of the Rabbid invasion in the game Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, he worries for his dad when he is possessed by the Megabug and aids Mario in stopping it. He then spared Mario and friends from Bowser's wrath and had Spawny go back to Princess Peach promising to be less bothersome, showing that he has a more heroic side after the MegaBug's attack.
After losing to Mario's team twice in baseball, Junior convinces Bowser to join Mario's crew for a celebration, showing that he wanted to make peace with Mario while in the Baseball Kingdom.
Helped Mario free Bowser from his Fury form. He also kept his father from attacking Mario when he’s returned to normal.
He helped Green Toad stop Bowser's attack in Mario Party: Island Tour, thinking that it was a party to be saved (though his role here is optional).
