Hero Overview

The Brain, true name unknown, is a supporting character of the 2023 superhero cartoon series My Adventures with Superman. He was once a human scientist working for Project Cadmus. However, once Cadmus realized that Brain and his boyfriend and fellow scientist, Monsieur Mallah, wanted to use their inventions to improve the world instead of harming it, they sent Task Force X to kill them. During the attack, Brain's body was destroyed, forcing Mallah to place his brain into a robot body.

Background[]

Over twenty years before the series, Brain was as a human scientist working on Project Cadmus. He created several experiments during this period, including altering a gorilla to give him human intelligence. Brain and his ape companion, who would later be known as Monsieur Mallah, would eventually fall in love. The pair wanted to create inventions to help the world instead of harming it. However, this went against what Cadmus wanted, and thus they sent the black-ops unit Task Force X to kill the pair. They managed to fight them off, but Brain's body was destroyed during the fight. Thus, Mallah had to place his boyfriend's brain in a robotic body. Around a year after this, Mallah and Brain created several mutants, due to their lonliness. Some of these mutants would get lost in Scotland, leading Brain and Mallah to track them down.

My Adventures with Mad Science[]

In the present day, Brain encountered Jimmy Olsen after the latter was brought to their base by Monsieur Mallah. Believing that Jimmy was a spy, Brain ordered Monsieur Mallah to kill Jimmy, but Mallah allowed Jimmy to live first, seeing that Jimmy was troubled. Brain accompanied Mallah when he showed Jimmy around their base, though he was adamant that he was against the idea. Jimmy wanted to reveal the Cadmus base to the world, and Brain threatened to shoot him. Mallah calmed his boyfriend down and suggested that the world may be more accepting of them. Jimmy questioned what the ape meant, and Mallah explained their backstory. Jimmy compared their situation to Lois and Clark forgetting about their camping trip, and Brain was reasonably unimpressed. Mallah told Jimmy that he could live with them if his friends truly didn't care about him, resulting in an argument between him and Brain.

After discovering the black hole in hidden their base, Jimmy took Mallah and Brain to the black hole and questioned them about it, and Mallah explained that they were planed on turning it into a dimensional portal so they could find a dimension where they would be accepted. Suddenly, the power to the Cadmus base was disrupted, due to Lois Clark trying to break in. Brain dawned his exo-suit, and he and Mallah went to fight the kryptonian. Jimmy defused the situation, and Mallah and Brain left to give the three friends space, though Brain wanted to watch them argue. However, Brain continued to listen to the argument through a security camera.

When Clark mentioned that he and Lois were chased by robots, Brain stated that their weren't any robots in the Cadmus base, meaning that someone was deliberately hunting them. Just them, the O.M.A.C.'s attacked, and Brain helped Clark barricade the door. Mallah then released his and Brain's mutants, and Brain ordered them to attack. The heroes then made their way to the black hole, and Brain gave Clark orders on how to activate it. After Mallah successfully opened the Black hole and destroyed the O.M.A.C.'s in one fell swoop, he and Brain prepared to leave. They were last seen holding hands whilst entering the portal.

  • Unlike in the comics, Brain's body is able to move on his own, and he is not confined to being carried on Monsier Mallah's shoulder.
    • However, at one point he is scene hovering near Mallah's shoulder, referencing the comics.
  • In the episode "Two Lanes Diverged," Winslow Scott has a disguised weapon that resembles Brain's robotic body. How he knew about this is unknown, though it's possible that he could have acquired the schematics for it from Task Force X.
