Brandish μ is an anti-heroine from the anime and manga series Fairy Tail. She is a former member of the Alvarez Empire and the Spriggan 12, the protection guard of Emperor Spriggan. She also leads her own team inside the Imperial Army, the Brandish Squad. Knowingly able to bring a nation to its knees, she garnered the epithet "Country Demolisher".

She is voiced by Manami Numakura in the Japanese version of the anime, and by Amber Lee Connors in the English version.

Appearance

Brandish is a young woman who is around the same age as Lucy Heartfilia. She has green hair that is a bob with bangs that cut above her eyes, she also has two purple crossed-shaped objects attached to her head that appears to look like horns. She is also seen wearing crossed-shaped earring that are silver. According to Macao Conbolt and Wakaba Mine, she seems to dress like Bisca Mulan, wearing a gold colored bikini that highly exposes her cleavage, with a dark-brown choker around her neck with golden chains attached to it, this runs across her back in a T-shaped pattern. She also wears a golden fancy coat with purple-indented flower patterns across the design, the coat also includes purple fur around the collar. Her Alvarez guild-mark is located on her right thigh.

Personality

Brandish is shown to be a very calm individual who rarely shows any expression, but can get very irritable easily, especially if it comes up with anything she dislikes. Since she dislikes troublesome behavior, she tries to avoid it as much as possible. She doesn't have a fear of torture or death and tells her enemies to punish her while refusing to give any information about herself. Brandish often refers her soldiers as "pets" and shows little to no sympathy towards them. Despite this, she does take care of them only if they do her bidding correctly.

Barndish is shown to care about her mother and was greatly affected by her death. After her mother's murder, she wanted revenge on the Heartfilia, thinking Layla was the blame for the murder. However, she regrets wanting to kill Lucy Heartfilia as a way of getting over her death, even shedding remorseful tears going through the process. After traveling in the Star Memory with Aquarius and learning the real tragedy of her mother's murder with horror, she begins to openly sob and collapse with hysterical fit of tears.

Brandish is also seen to be pretty childish and very playful. She loves fluffy things. On the way to see August, when she made Happy giant due to Natsu's weakness of moving vehicles, she hugs him with delight with a child-like expression on her face. When traveling, she made Natsu's head bigger because he wanted it and shrinks Lucy's breast and then making them bigger again, only for the sake of messing with Lucy.

Despite helping Fairy Tail, she claims that she's still a member of Spriggan 12 and will not betray her homeland, so she still refuses to consider herself a formal ally of theirs.
