~ Bravehog to other hedgehogs. |
Bravehog is a minor character in Sonic the Comic comic book series. He is a legendary hero of Mobius, leader of the hedgehog tribe credited for uniting the various Mobian species, and Sonic the Hedgehog's ancestor.
Biography[]
Sonic the Comic[]
Around 600 years ago, Mobians lived in separate tribes, segregated by their species, and the hyenas waged war against their neighbours. Due to various tribes being indifferent to each others' grievances, they were reluctant to help each other, letting the villains run practically unopposed.
That lasted until Bravehog, then-leader of the hedgehogs, declared that it was time to show others an example by standing up to hyenas. His people, however, rejected said idea. When the hyena King Leer ordered an attack on the fox tribe, Bravehog came to their rescue alone, but was captured by the hyenas. His example, however, inspired other Mobians to unite and rise up against their oppressors, and King Leer was defeated by Bravehog. From that day, the Mobians began living in unison with each other.
Legacy[]
Centuries later, Sonic told the story of Bravehog to a hyena he rescued from Badniks to explain why he was fighting for the greater good in the first place.
Sonic the Comic Online[]
As part of Emperor Metallix's posthumous revenge scheme, Bravehog was summoned from the past by the Main Viewer alongside Sonic's incarnations from past and future. He took part in the fight against the present day Robotnik until Femni-Viewer transported all time-displaced individuals back into their rightful points in the timeline.
Trivia[]
- Bravehog's quills have the same shape and color as Sonic's, which contradicts his backstory of having gained them in a scientific experiment.
