Brenda Meeks is the deuteragonist of the Scary Movie franchise and Cindy Campbell's best friend.
She is portrayed by Regina Hall.

Background[]
Brenda Meeks is an ordinary teenager who lived in Stevenson County. She is the best friend of Cindy Campbell and girlfriend of Ray Wilkins. She was disappointed with him after Ray revealed herself to be the sidekick of Bobby Prinze, her best friend's boyfriend. However, they resume dating in college, and struggle to survive in Hell House, but soon after their relationship doesn't work out.
Brenda is a very optimistic, hyperactive, and chatty person. However, sometimes she tends to become noisy, even showing off selfish and rude habits such as in the cinema where she starts talking very loudly on the phone, recording the movie Shakespeare in Love illegally, and insults people around her.
Despite being Cindy's best friend, Brenda tends to put herself above her friendship, prioritizing herself as letting Cindy be killed in the Hell House. Despite this, Brenda is very fond of Cindy and they both like to be close to each other. She shows a certain concern such as warning Cindy about Buffy and worries when Greg strangles her and assaults her with fighter blows.
Brenda is also quite brave when facing her fears. She faced and fought with Tabitha winning for a moment but is killed then and the animated skeleton she knocked down and reassembled him and Billy's brother, who she eventually seduced, preventing him from hurting her friends. She is quick and perceptive realizing facts that others ignore as Dwight's plan to racially divide them.
Scary Movie[]
Brenda is first seen arriving at school with Shorty. They get off the bus and Brenda tells him to show up at class. Shorty mocks her and they start an argument in which Shorty offends her mother. Brenda reminds him that she is his mother too. Shorty then mocks his father. Brenda replies that she does not know him.
She meets her best friend Cindy, then they both spot Buffy Gilmore, their other friend. Brenda complains to Cindy how fake and promiscuous Buffy is and reveals that Buffy stayed with a dancer at a friend's party, Buffy greets them and Brenda is fake with her. They talk about the death of Drew Decker, a classmate of theirs, and see the journalists. Brenda says they will focus on the most ignorant person they meet.
After Drew's death, Brenda and her friends begin to receive anonymous messages from a masked killer. They think the tickets may be related to Halloween night. Cindy, Brenda, Bobby, Ray, Buffy, and Greg were returning from a party on Halloween night when they ran over a man on the road named David Keegan because Bobby was distracted by the oral sex simulation he received from Cindy. Although David is alive, they get so distracted they don't even notice and accidentally knock him out. After Bobby and Greg throw the body into the sea, they all make a promise never to mention what happened.
When Brenda and Ray are in Ray's room, he asks her to wear his football uniform and helmet. She dresses up in them and they start having sex. Ray calls Brenda Brandon.
On the night of Buffy's beauty pageant, Brenda and Ray go to the movies. During the trailer, Ray goes to the bathroom. The movie begins and Ghostface sits next to Brenda, who starts to speak loudly and have an unpleasant behavior which annoys moviegoers. She starts talking on her cell phone and recording the movie illegally. People complain and she insults them. The cinephiles angrily stab Brenda before Ghostface can do it. Brenda takes to the big screen stage and falls there.
Brenda's injuries are not fatal and she survives somehow.
Scary Movie 2[]
Brenda goes to college, she meets Cindy there and meets Alex Monday, and they are all in the same Psychology class, Brenda is chosen with others by Professor Oldman to spend the weekend in Hell House, it is an insomnia study. She forgives Ray and they go back to dating, in the House of Hell they have sex and Brenda starts talking dirty words which scares Ray.
Brenda and Ray save Shorty after he is smoked by a giant cannabis weed, Brenda and the others play a basketball rhythm. Dwight tries to racially divide them and Brenda questions him, he rethinks his plan for a moment, but executes it anyway. When Cindy is chased by a skeleton, Brenda cheers for her to die, but then joins her to disassemble it and put his limbs wrong.
Hanson, mansion caretaker cuts Shorty up, Brenda, Cindy and Theo fight him, they defeat them.
Brenda possibly graduated or dropped out of college.
Scary Movie 3[]
Brenda is a teacher, she teaches Cody Campbell and Sue Logan. she goes with Cindy to watch George in rap battle, later she confesses to Cindy that she has a feeling that something bad is going to happen to her and asks Cindy to spend the night with her at her house. After George was kicked out of the battle for wearing a KKK-like hood (even have won the competition), Cindy and Brenda go to Brenda's apartment, she tells she watched a cursed tape, however she doesn't take it seriously and starts playing tricks with Cindy, Brenda grabs popcorn and goes into the living room, the television turns on by herself and Brenda thinks it's the news. Tabitha, the ghost girl arrives to take her, Brenda tries to call Cindy's attention that she thinks it's another bland prank, Brenda and Tabitha fight, Brenda gains the upper hand until Tabitha kills her.
At his funeral, George and Mahalik, a friend of theirs attend, they think Brenda is still alive and try to revive her, but end up exploding her remains.
Scary Movie 4[]
Somehow Brenda (or another Brenda) appears alive, she is working as a stewardess, she reunited Cindy and the two will investigate Toshio Saeki's past, they go to the village where his supposed father lives, he reveals that he is not his real father, later Brenda and Cindy meet Toshio's real father, she helps Cindy and Tom Ryan fight the aliens, and has sex with one of them, which causes them to catch a sexually transmitted disease, killing their entire race. She ends up pregnant and gives birth to her baby at the end of the movie

- Her last name is a reference to the character Randy Meeks from the Scream franchise.
- She and Cindy are absent from the 5th film.
- The line of dialogue between Brenda and Shorty at school suggest that they're not brothers of the same father, in addiction, Monica Dillon played her grandmother in Scary Movie 3, and later played Mahalik's grandmother in Scary Movie 4, but there is no indication in continuity or a dialogue that suggests they are related.
- As the Wayans left the franchise and the Zuckers took it on, both Scary Movie 3 and Scary Movie 4 have different continuity from previous events, Brenda's plot was retold making it look like she was an only child since Shorty is absent at her funeral or is even isn't mentioned, making sure he doesn't exist in this new universe of the two films. However as Shorty never had much interaction with his family and spent more time smoking marijuana with his friends, his absence at her funeral makes sense.
- Brenda is stabbed several times in Scary Movie but survives her injuries and goes to college with Cindy in Scary Movie 2, but dies in Scary Movie 3 she dies and her body is blown up at her funeral, however she appears alive in Scary Movie 4, it is not known if the Brenda in this film is the same as the previous films or another character named Brenda.
- Although several fans suggest that Tabitha's defeat may have reversed the story and allowed her to have come back to life or that it may have been revived by the aliens, however this theory goes beyond the surreal nature of the franchise. If that were possible, Cindy would have come back the night she was stabbed in the movies and saved her, and would never have met George Logan erasing the events of Scary Movie 3.
- There's a theory called 'Two Brenda Theory' where they suggest that Brenda the flight attendant from Scary Movie 4 is the same Brenda who went to high school with Cindy and that Brenda, the teacher of Scary Movie 3 is another Brenda. But this ignores the fact that Brenda from Scary Movie 1 and 2 (who survived the stab wounds of moviegoers and the experience in Hell House) was the only one to have dated Ray.
