Bruce Cochrane was one of the chosen drivers in the original 1995 Twisted Metal. He is a gangster from the hood who wishes to end the war in his hometown and save his girlfriend.

History

Twisted Metal

Bruce entered the contest after hearing about the kidnapping of his girlfriend, leading to him arming himself with a gun and race against the other racers in hopes that he can rescue her.

In the end, Bruce managed to rescue his girlfriend and choose not to enact his revenge on his former boss, as he deem himself a better man. His gang then leaves the place with his love now back with him.

Trivia

• The character of Bruce Cochrane may possibly be named after Bruce Cochrane, one of the testers of the original Twisted Metal game.
• In Bruce's Lost Ending in TM (1995) game, there is another man in his car with him. It is possible that he is Vinnie from Twisted Metal: Small Brawl, partnering alongside with Bruce while driving Thumper, although this has never been confirmed nor denied.
• When, Bruce asked to hang with his homies in Twisted Metal III, He is seen along side Needles Kane and Buster Cobb, suggesting he's friends with them or that they are from the same neighborhood.
