Princess Brunhild is a major character from the Japanese mobile game Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, appearing in the game-original "Ragnarok" storyline. She is the acting monarch of the Kingdom of Isenstein and the leader of the Isenstein Legion. She was later revealed to be an valkyrie who once served her father Odin but was banished and turned into a human as punishment before Odin let her come back.
She is voiced by Maiko Nomura.
Biography[]
Brunhild obtained her role when she fell in love with and married the prince of her kingdom, Prince Gunnar. However, Gunnar was a man of poor health, and he passed away not long after the wedding, leaving the widowed Brunhild to run her kingdom. She became well-liked by her people for her loyalty, kindness, beauty, and skill in combat, with rumors circulating that she was sent by gods. Additionally, she formed a tense rivalry with Prince Siguard, the leader of the Kingdom of Xantenburg, due to the kingdoms being at war with one another. Her skill in war earned her the nickname of "Goddess of Death" from the Xantenburg people.
When the Seven Deadly Sins arrive in Midgaurd, they are caught in the conflict between Xantenburg and Isenstein. Brunhild is immediately wary of the newcomers and fights them after Priest Vali threatens of calling her an traitor, though she eventually became to realize they are not evil, but as Vali kept barking orders at her, Thonar helps them escape. Later, she is lead to believe that Meliodas is the reincarnation of an evil dragon, which leads her to briefly ally with Siguard to fight him.
As Brunhild leads her troops north, she helps battle monsters and protect civilians until they come across the priest Vali, who is creating an army in the name of Odin. Brunhild is disapproving of him drafting civilians, believing war to be for warriors. However, as Giants begin to invade, the Isenstein Legion is conscripted to support Priest Vali’s expeditionary force as a vanguard role. As the Giants begin to overpower them, Brunhild has her troops retreat and stays behind herself to finish the fight. She is found unconcious and badly injured, and is healed by Elizabeth Liones. Despite being thankful, she admits that she is still untrusting and goes about her way.
She would later reappear when the gods were hosting an tournament is hosted by the gods, she ends up running into Elizabeth in trial round in illusions cave where the two team before Melidoas and Sigurd join in. There she mades it to the finals where she faces Ban before he forefitted the match where she won and went to go up against Sigurd. However Valdi interrupted the march with an attack that was stopped by Thor. There Obin reveals himself and turns out she was once a valkyrie who also his daughter serving as him he banished and he turned Brunhild back into one as she flew back to her with Sigurd watching in despair.

Brunhild also appears as an HP Attribute unit. Her attacks deal major damage based on the enemies' resistance and power. Her Ultimate attack deals massive damage while healing allies, and her Unique effect increases her stats when with allies and gives a boost to specific attacks if an ally falls.
Personality[]
Brunhild is loved by her people for being loyal and kind. She shows the most humanity towards her people, valuing their lives above all else and willing to give her life to protect them. She strongly opposes civilians being dragged into violence and wars. She is shown to be quite stoic and serious, especially towards enemies. She is unafraid to fight her way through threats, and is relentless in combat. Despite this, she is shown to be merciful and thankful when her life is spared or saved.
