Bruni is a major character in Frozen II; sequel of the 53rd classical film Disney Frozen. He is the fire spirit of the Enchanted Forest and Elsa’s very adorable pet. Initially, he looks like a dangerous creature but after he meets Elsa he reveals himself to be a sweet and kind little animal.

Background

Bruni is one of the four spirits of the Enchanted Forest along with Gale, The Nokk and the Earth giants. That he can create beautiful, but dangerous, flames. When he is weak, however, he creates only very small sparks and is not very capable of setting something on fire. 34 years ago he was framed by King Runear who killed the leader of the Noundtrath and therefore unleashed the wrath of the spirits.

History

Bruni appears for the first time when there is the attack of the fire spirit that destroys everything in the Northuldra camp which appears to be a bouncing flame on everything and creates fire everywhere. Elsa begins to put out the fires created by Bruni, and then starts chasing Bruni and when she finds herself in a Czech corner he tries to protect by continuing to fire, but after seeing Elsa extinguish with her ice her flames begins to show the his true nature (sweet, affectionate and altruistic) and climbs onto Elsa's hands (who feels a little burning as Bruni has yet to completely extinguish himself). Bruni calms down immediately and eats some of Elsa's snowflakes, thus letting the girl give him cuddles, after which she walks away from her. Throughout the film he watches with Gale, Elsa and the boys on their journey. In the scene where Olaf disintegrates due to Elsa being frozen (just like Anna in the first film) for venturing too far into Athoallan, Bruni witnesses the scene and is mortally sorry and sad about it. Eventually, after Anna and the Earth Giants destroy the dam caused by King Runear to prevent magic and Elsa is rebooted and rescues Arendele, Bruni is seen on the girl's hands getting cuddled after she becomes the fifth spirit of the Enchanted Forest. Bruni is last seen playing with Elsa and The Nokk as they ride through the forest.

Trivia

• He is considered by all to be Elsa's puppy.
• It is not known if Bruni is as immortal as Elsa.
• If you hear closely, when Bruni is extinguishing and cuddling in Elsa’s hands, he can be heard purring.
