Bubble Buddy is a recurring character in the animated series, SpongeBob SquarePants. He is a bubble blown by SpongeBob SquarePants to become his best friend and he turned out to be alive later. Now, he's a father with a wife and a son, who lives in Bubble Town.
He is voiced by Brad Abrell.
Heroic Acts[]
- In "Bubble Buddy", Bubble Buddy provided companionship for SpongeBob, when he was lonely.
- In the same episode, he saved himself from being popped by Squidward who tried to stab him with a needle. He stopped him in a very non-violent manner by simply grabbing his arm and chuckling as he politely told him to be careful with that thing.
- In "Bubble Buddy Returns", Bubble Buddy was revealed to be a very kind and nurturing father to his son, Shiny Bubble. Bubble Buddy had to go away on a business trip and wanted to make sure his son would be in safe hands, so he sent him to Bikini Bottom to be babysat by SpongeBob. Bubble Buddy also warned SpongeBob that Shiny Bubble could get a little crazy sometimes so that he wouldn't freak out when it happened. In the end, Bubble Buddy returned to pick up his son at the exact time he promised, thanked SpongeBob for being such a kind soul, and left with his son.
- In "Bubble Town", Bubble Buddy gave SpongeBob a giant container of bubble sauce so that SpongeBob could use it to rebuild the recently destroyed city of Bubble Town.
- In the same episode, he also created a second location for The Krusty Krab called "The Bubbly Krab" in Bubble Town, only for this business to quickly get destroyed by Mr. Krabs.

- Bubble Buddy is lactose intolerant.
- In "Bubble Buddy Returns", Bubble Buddy had a troublemaking son named Shiny Bubble. However, we have yet to see if Bubble Buddy has any husband or wife, who also takes care of Shiny or if Bubble Buddy is a single father.
- Bubble Buddy made a background cameo in the episode "Mall Girl Pearl".
