1Z27FHV047FBPQ40-a "Bucket" or better known as Bucket. is a major protagonist in Turtle Rock Studios first-person shooter video game which was published by 2K, Evolve. He plays the role of a Supporter and focuses on supporting his fellow allies. Bucket's an AI who is partnered with William Cabot. Bucket's a formal Marshal who happens to drive the ship the hunters use when going into combat.
He's voiced by Peter Jessop. Who also voiced William "B.J." Blazkowicz in Wolfenstein, Vision inThe Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Paladin Danse in Fallout 4, The Gurdian in Destiny.
Appearance[]
Bucket's body is mostly yellow. Bucket has a rather humanoid bulky body along with a giant grey circle on his chest which says 05. Bucket has only three fingers on his right hand. Bucket's right hand is replaced with a rocket launcher. This rocket launcher is rather rectangular in shape. It has some black stripes on it and has a black sphere on the top of it. Bucket's "head" isn't exactly round. It's a sphere-like shape, the top of it is black with the bottom of it being yellow. In the center of it there's a blue circle. This circle is presumably Buckets eye. Bucket's back has a jetpack on it. This jetpack is yellow with black stripes on it. Bucket has a pair of grey legs. These legs seem to be Buckets endoskeleton.
Background[]
Bucket was programmed on Earth as he was made to be a Marshall; he was activated on Ganymede and thus has no memory of Earth. Bucket worked with William as a Hub Marshall and was assigned to him on March 18, 2356. Soon Bucket was assigned to become a hunter, hunting down various monsters with his fellow hunters. Bucket is normally charged with flying the ship with all the hunters. However, Bucket is capable of fighting monsters Bucket uses a modified repair drone chassis when the time comes to support his human comrades on the ground. Several years after Bucket was assigned to Cabot they headed to the Far Arm to hand over Arthur Rank to Terry Conneght.
Bucket can be found within some of the cutscenes of Evolve. His fate is determined by the player's choices. Should the player lose to the monsters, Bucket's fate will end with him being hit by a stage 3 Goliath. This is followed up with a Kraken stepping on Bucket and presumably killing him by doing so. Should the player win however, Bucket can be seen fending off against the monsters with his fellow hunters while in combat.
Personality[]
Bucket is a rather sadistic individual. Buckets extremely humored by seeing others in pain and seeing them in harm's way. This is shown on numerous occasions. Bucket's stated that when he was a Marshal he would often use "slightly less than lethal force" because it was amusing to Bucket. Bucket's stated to be humored by Carnivorous Plants. This is because Bucket enjoys watching others being hurt by them. Along with this Buckets stated that if he was the monster he'd make sure the hunters would have extremely painful deaths and taunt them as he kills them. This would also mean that Bucket enjoys abusing power that's considered to be "lawful". Bucket can even be considered to be a corrupt individual because of this. Bucket's said that he does enjoy watching others be hurt by the monster as well.
Bucket's very honest about how he feels however. This means that Bucket's an extremely honest figure. Despite his honesty, Bucket can still mischievous at times. Bucket has stated that in the past he's purposely sabotaged things because he finds it funny. However, Bucket's actually extremely afraid of death. Even though Bucket can also be rebuilt (and he's aware of this) he's shown to have fear by the mere thought of dying forever. Furthermore Bucket's afraid of the Kraken's lighting; this is likely because he's a robot thus he'd be afraid of the effects it has on his system. Bucket seems to take a liking to nature around him. Bucket often admires nature and sometimes humans that have contributed to the beautiful ecosystems that are around him. This would mean that Bucket is a philanthropist as well.
Bucket hates it whenever someone makes fun of his name, as he gets onto Jack when they mock him for simply being named Bucket. Bucket then later says that he's feeling an emotion he's never felt before (which turned out to be anger) and Bucket then says that he wishes to kill Jack for what he had said to him. However, Bucket was the one who insulted Jack first for his vigilante name. Because of this that would imply that Bucket's somewhat jerkish and rude to those around him. Bucket has no problem insulting others if he feels the need to judge them for being themselves. Despite this, Bucket does care for his fellow hunters. Whenever reviving them he does tell them that he wishes he could join them on the ship; if he were to do this Cabot would deck his pay. Bucket does sometimes ask them if they're alright when reviving them as well.
Bucket is somewhat egoistic. He hates being called outdated tech, Bucket prides himself on being an extremely advanced AI. Because of this Bucket does tend to snap at others should they call him an outdated piece of tech. Bucket can be rather sarcastic and a smartass at times. Great examples of this are when Bucket makes comments about the monster evolving and when Bucket makes fun of Jack's name and tells that Jack that he only his vigilante name because he's too insecure to say his actual name.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Guided Missile Launcher - Bucket's right hand and missile launcher is a high-damage weapon that follows the laser on the rocket launcher. It was refitted by Cabot to replace his machine pistol but it also has a slow reload time.
- Sentry Guns - Floating weapon platforms that deploy from Bucket's “chest” and will automatically fire on the Monster and hostile targets. 3 sentries allowed at a time. A mini-fabricator in his torso generates his Sentry Guns.
- Mechanized Recharge - Bucket creates a recharging burst within an area around him immediately ending the cooldown on all Hunter Class abilities of those in range. This includes Bucket's own Shield Burst ability.
- Shield Burst - The Support Class signature device applies a shield to all Hunters within an area around the Support that will decay after a short time.

Trivia[]
- When Bucket is off the ship, hunting the monster, he is also flying the ship. Indicated by his respawning quote "I have returned! In a sense, I'm also still on the ship."
- Bucket stated that his chassis was not designed to contain a "Rank Rajat mind", and that some of the algorithms don't quite accept his presence. This is demonstrated by the moving work-light on his shoulder and his voice being distorted at times.
- The number five on his chest is a reference to Jonny Five.
- He is the first non-human hunter to appear in the game.
- Lazarus asked Bucket what goes through his mind before a hunt. He replied, "Ones and Zeros, in great quantities". When asked what he thinks on risking his life, Bucket said that his consciousness is immortal, so does he truly have a life to risk. And that "you Thanotologists" must ask that question. Lazarus responds that they don't ask those questions. So, Bucket goes "back to the Ones and Zeros".
- Sometimes during his re-spawn, Bucket will say "Prepare for Bucketfall." Although it isn't shown in the subtitles, he will sometimes follow up with "and copyright infringement." This is a reference to the game Titanfall, in which the game's mechs are, similiar to Bucket, dropped down onto the battlefield from above.
- He likes his missile launcher so much, that he wishes to be made of missile launchers.
- He often calls the rest of The Crew, "monkeys."
- He is terrified of the Kraken's lightning.
- His left arm is a "Multi-Manipulator™"
