Buddy is an intelligent yet naive and cowardly Blue Footed Booby hatchling and a main protagonist of Angry Birds Mystery Island.
He is voiced by Harvey Guillén, who also voices Odie in The Garfield Movie, Perrito in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and Vassago in Helluva Boss.
Appearance[]
Buddy is an orange hatchling with tan belly feathers, blue feet, short thick eyebrows, orange tail feathers and big square glasses. His neck is also known to extend, accompanied by the sound of a chicken.
Personality[]
Despite looking smart, Buddy isn't highly intelligent as he can be naive and act dumb sometimes but he does know some things from time to time. He hates conflict, and tends to panic about almost everything. He loves magic and his favorite game is "The Floor is Lava". He is also shown to have claustrophobia.

In "Go For Launch!"...
In "Gim(Mia) Shelter", Buddy helplessly follows along when Mia takes charge of the group's effort to build a shelter. In spite of the unfair division of labor, Buddy still attempts to keep the peace. When Rosie snaps at Mia for her behavior, he sides with Rosie. After making up he eventually rejoins Mia when she begins building by herself, and the group eventually finishes the house.

In "Truffled Feathers", after Mia's plans to hold a party, a competition between Mia and Hamylton kicks in as he and Rosie get to be judges. After trying Mia and Hamylton's dishes, Buddy and Rosie choose Hamylton as winner but they get brainwashed by the chocolate truffle in Hamylton's dish but they go back to normal once all of the truffles are given to the crabs.

In "Woolly Bully", Buddy disturbed Rosie's me time by trying to open a coconut with his break which didn't work. Later he, Hamylton and Mia would discover Rosie's secret place and ruin her piece before awakening The Snow Boar. After Rosie comforts the Snow Boar, Buddy, Mia and Hamylton would foolishly scare it away causing him to run away with Rosie until Rosie tells her friends to stop meddling. After the Snow Boar finally gets some piece, Buddy along with Hamylton and Mia would build a place for Rosie as they reveal that they knew about her problem by noticing her eye twitching but they get to spend more time with Rosie anyway.

In "Don't Go Misplacin' Waterfalls", Buddy decides to build an epic water slide park by using waterfalls. And despite Rosie thinking it's a bad idea, he doesn't believe it and so the team builds the park but the next day it comes at a price as the whole island gets dry. Feeling guilty, Buddy decides to fix his mistake so with the help of his friends, Wormzinger and the Apes led by Laura Palmtree, they manage to restore the island's whole water supply.
