It continues to get worse when they return to the palace to find the Thunder Helm stolen away by the Yiga Clan.
When Link first arrived at the palace disguised as a woman due to his awareness of the law that forbids males from entering, Buliara tells him to state his business to Riju and to keep a respectful distance. After a conversation with Link, Riju recalls the tale that her mother told her about a Hylian Champion being taken by Princess Zelda to be put in a deep sleep when Calamity Ganon attacked and this swordsman holding the sacred blade being called Link and wonders if the person standing before her, is the same person. Eventually Buliara and Riju see through Link's disguise, though given that he was friends with Urbosa and his status as the Champion. They allow him to stick around as long as he remains disguised. Riju realizes that he might just be the person who can help appease Vah Naboris. Buliara is hesitant about Riju trusting a stranger and recommends that he must earn their trust by helping them retrieve Riju's stolen Thunder Helm which Riju agrees to do, as the Thunder Helm's ability to absorb lightning to protect the wearer is essential in the battle against it, and adds that it should be an easy task for a Champion like him and tells him to speak to Captain Teake in the barracks for information on the perpetrators behind the Thunder Helm's theft.
