Bunnie Rabbot is a major character in the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon series.
She is one of the few Roboticization victims who didn't become one of Robotnik's mindless servants. She possesses enhanced strength in the parts of her body that have been roboticized.
She was voiced by the late Christine Cavanaugh, who also voiced Chuckie Finster, Gosalyn Mallard, Dexter, and Oblina.
Biography[]
Little is known about Bunnie's past, except that she was friends with Sonic and the other Freedom Fighters during childhood. However, together with the other children, Bunnie was taken to Knothole Village after Dr. Robotnik came to power in Mobotropolis, overthrew King Acorn, and began terraforming it into Robotropolis, roboticizing many residents into his Robian labor force while the city became a polluted wasteland of industry. Under unspecified circumstances, later on, Bunnie was partially roboticized, with her left arm up to the shoulder and both of her legs becoming mechanical, turning her into a cyborg. Despite this, Bunnie is able to control her mechanical limbs with her still-organic brain and nervous system.
While this left her deeply upset at how her beautiful organic body was now part-robotic, she still did her best to use her cybernetic limbs to aid Sonic, Sally, and the rest of the Freedom Fighters in their battles against Doctor Robotnik to protect Mobius from becoming a polluted wasteland under his iron fist.
However, in the episode "Sonic Conversion", Bunnie is the test subject for Sally's De-Roboticizer, and it appears to work initially as Bunnie's Roboticized limbs are restored to flesh and blood. However, it turns out to be only temporary as, during when Sally is briefing Bunnie on their first target in Robotropolis for De-Roboticization now that their De-Roboticizer is being improved by Uncle Chuck following his De-Roboticization to ensure they can begin taking back Mobius from Doctor Robotnik, Bunnie crackles with electricity and topples backwards in a cloud of smoke and dust with a startled yelp. When it clears, her Roboticized limbs have returned, much to her heartbreak. As Sally comforts her, she then realizes that if Bunnie's De-Roboticization was only temporary, Uncle Chuck will revert back into a Robian himself, to her horror. They immediately go after Sonic with Dulcy the Dragon, only to find that he is stuck in a Mega Muck trap while Uncle Chuck, having already reverted back into a Worker Bot, has departed for Robotropolis with Tails and Antoine as his prisoners to be Roboticized. After they free Sonic, he heads to Robotropolis to save Tails and Antoine, and succeeds in helping Uncle Chuck regain control of his Robian body through sheer willpower, allowing Chuck to become a spy for the Freedom Fighters.
