Burmylo, Korotun and Sylach are the main protagonists of Ukrainian How Cossacks... cartoon series.
Appearance[]
They always wear similar red pants and white shirts (aside Burmylo, who wears a coat and a hat). They also have mustaches and Cossack forelocks (aside Sylach, who has a haircut). Sylach is a large, fat man, Burmylo is tall, and Korotun is very short and has the biggest mustache.
Biography[]
They firstly appear in How Cossacks cooked Kulish cartoon. Their tobacco has run out, so Korotun goes to get it. But then he disappears. Turns out he was abducted by Tatars and Sylach and Burmylo go to rescue him. They also save other cossacks. In How the Cossacks played football, Burmylo, Korotun and Sylach play football with different teams and win all matches. In How Cossacks rescued the brides they pursue pirates, who abducted a bunch of brides and robbed numerous people. In How Cossacks bought the salt they want to buy some salt, but it is stolen by Pan and his servants, so they go to defeat him. In How Cossacks became the Olympians, Mars god escapes the prison and finds himself near their lifeplace and they compete him in sport. They win. In How Cossacks helped the Musketeers Cardinal Richelieu wants to marry the king to his niece, and the king himself wants to marry the Ottoman princess and asks Dartagnan and the three musketeers to send her a gift. She sends him a return gift. The Cossacks’ task is to help the musketeers deliver this gift to the king (the cardinal himself, of course, tries to interfere), which they succeed. They also repeatedly outwit the cardinal pursuing them. In How Cossacks enjoyed the wedding Sylach, being the only cossack not to be married, decides to marry a local beauty. He goes to the market to get the boots for his girfriend, but disappears. Korotun and Burmylo go to search him. Turns out Sylach was abducted by the demons. The cossacs defeat the demons with cunning, save the drunkard from these demons and find a chest with treasure, where they also find boots. Sylach marries his girlfriend and invites his friends on his wedding. In How Cossacks met the aliens The Cossacks meet aliens who need oil to continue their journey. After a long search, it turns out that the tar that the Cossacks had all along is suitable for the aliens.
Personality[]
Burmylo, Korotun and Sylach are shown to be helpful, clever and friendly. They immediately befriend anyone whom they meet and help anyone who needs this. They also save numerous innocent people from enemies' attacks and they deeply care about each other. When any of them is kidnapped, the other two immediately rush to the rescue and save him from any threat, be it Crimean Tatars or even demons. They also like sport as there are at least two episodes where they play sports (play football or partake in Olimpic Games).
